Damn, yes! After loong time (when Gaborik and Hossa retired) I can finally wake up at 3 am to watch some good NHL hockey with the Slovak bois :) at least I hope so
@@flysam857 That only sounded good just the reaction of them was very underwhelming thats why i think Slaf and Mesar takes it. Uncensored pure joy on camera.
Those 3 Slovak kids (I include Nemec) were so happy for each other, it was heartwarming to see. They were almost more excited about their friends getting drafted than being drafted themselves. There's a clip of when Juraj learns that Mesar was also drafted by Montreal, big kid is so happy.
i am 80 years old and followed hockey since i was 10 y old and this video just threw me out of my chair carry on the good work hugues you are the sauveur
Mr. Nick Bobrov is a very smart man. As a Slovakian, I'm very proud and happy that Canadiens picked him. Canadiens will gain a lot of Slovak fans in the upcoming years, that's for sure.
I'm thrilled that Gorton and Hughes are willing to be transparent and show the fans some of the processes they are using to build the next version of the Canadiens.
I was good friends with Owen's older brother growing up, and trust me, this kid's always been a hard worker and will definitely do his best to help the team :)
That was really gd. Everything was so professional and represented hockey really well. I can’t wait to see how these guys do for your team. Good luck from LI
It seems we are taking a step into the future of management and analytics in hockey, with that and St-Louis as a modern coach, I am optimistic for the future of this organization. Go Habs Go.
it's crazy when you think about it, they are searching for the head that they would put million$$ on. sometime i think about my job and not have to deal with thaaat much money but them, they really need to find the good one because they know it's alot of money that they would spend for them.
Montreal wants to play offensive hockey. Great thing is that Slovakia plays the offensive style as well and that is where Slafkovsky exceeds as a great power forward
Slovaks were playing too defensive until they came under coach Craig Ramsey. He helped mold the current generation of Slovak talent. (famously telling Slaf to shoot more before the Olympics)
@@user-xg6sx5ev9u I don't think slovakia can ever compete with Canada in hockey. It's just not physically possible, Canada has got more ice rings than slovakia has ice hockey players 😕 we might have a generation of players from time to time that can put up a fight but that's about it. However bear in mind that hockey in Europe is mostly secondary sport and nothing comes close to football.
@@vladimirsvabik6820 as slovakian I disagree but I respect your opinion.Slovakia is mot football country ..look back into past and name when we had do much success as we managed to have in ice hockey. Oor hockey was always better than football ...on the world scales.
@@alanarobova7736 slovakia has only 10k registered hockey players compare to 200k registered football players. Now tell me based on these numbers which sport is more popular? Just qualify to FIFA world cup alone is more success than winning the whole IIHF world cup. You can't even compare these 2 sports. Ice hockey is only played by handful numbers of countries which only Canada and perhaps Finland is hockey number one sport. Canada can easily create three teams that could win all medals to any major tournament.
Well, it's funny well give a credit to a 14 years old and be on your own, and cook the food with mother on the phone, who is Miles away. Many of us would struggle
This behind-the-curtain look was absolutely AWESOME!!! As a fan who would love to see more about what goes on off the ice, this is perfect content. I'm here for all of it!! Thanks for doing this.
I was on vacation in Greece when the draft happened. I woke up at a god awful hour too watch the draft. As a Habs fan, that was an insane draft. Thought they would go with Wright but I was leaning Slafkovský. Then that out of left field trade. I hadn't heard that in the rumours at all.
As a Leaf fan this was pretty cool...can't wait to see how ur team does down the road to bad price won't be around to grow with the youth ....cool video
This is a very interesting video for any hockey fan. And as a Hab fan, I'm quite happy with Slaf. He's got talent, solid character, and is obviously intelligent.
