@@laurent29093 Can’t wait to see these two interact with each other. Two extremely likeable guys, with one of them twice the size of the others. Going to be amazing!
Here it is February 2024. Liked this fine young man from the start and look where his progression is now at still under 20 years of age ! No ego or entitlement at all. Well raised and humble and appreciative of his opportunity ! Best of luck young man and so happy to have you as part of the future of our team !
Nah. I love Slaf's personality and his demeanor. He has big time potential as a player but you're barking up the wrong tree for Captain. Nick Suzuki has already got that one wrapped up and the announcement should be coming soon. Nick will be Habs Captain for many years.
As a Slovak I hope he will bring a lot of joy to Canadian fans. We know he is sincere funny guy and all he cares about is being the best and improve every day.
What amazed me was how happy he was for his fellow Slovak friends to get drafted as well, especially Mesar to the Habs. It must be a great day for Slovak hockey and we all hope that they will be great for Montreal.
@@thomasianni4934 true. Ice hockey has been behind for a very long time in Slovakia. It is still the most popular sport here, so I’m glad we get some kind of success. We hope we can prove our talent and keep bringing quality players to your league👌🏻.
This is gonna be fun. The Habs have just became the favourite NHL team of all of Slovakia after taking Slafkovsky and Mesar. This pick was just as much about believing in Slafkovsky as it was reassuring to Slovakia that the Habs believe in Slovakia as a country to make world class athletes. Bonne Chance Montreal!
Good luck SLAF !!! I love HABS since young kid and as a SLOVAK guy I´m so excited and happy :) I love you MONTREAL !!! merci du fond du coeur Montréal !!!
Sens fan here. Just wanted to say that I truley am happy to all the habs fans out there. This was such a good pick for MTL. Hoping that soon both our teams will be back strong and have some good playoff battles in the near futur. Draft day was a day to remember for both our teams. Slafkovsky will be a beast.
No one knows where Juraj Slafkovsky's career goes from here , but i'm personally proud of the organization for choosing who they truly felt was the best player regardless of what everyone else says. Regardless of all the Wright talk . Get em Juraj !
@@JustChillingNahhhhMean thats supposed to be Slaf, maybe not this season, but I hope he can make the team and develop as soon as possible so he can back Caufield and Suzuki.
Je veux croire en Slafky, le jeune est mature, il va aider ses coéquipiers jour 1, j'ai hâte à la saison 2022-2023 même si on fini en bas du classement. Ces prochaines années vont être existantes !
@@elomellow1623 the Canadiens are gonna get their centre in next years draft - there’s already 4 centres that are better than Wright in that draft (Bedard, Fantilli, Dvorsky, Yager) and Carlsson may be the fifth (6’3 centre scoring 9 points in the SHL as a 16 year old on minimal ice time). I think the Habs realized it would be worth the wait to get a solid winger this year and their franchise centre next year rather than get a centre this year and then risk having Wright as a 3C.
When the opposite striker launch an attack you have to adapt and to consider to look for plays even if the center(player) is there. And for in front of the net. And when you receive a long pass cause it's strong you can cushion. This man will be a savior.
Welcome to Montréal! Your gonna be a star with us and maybe hope you will help us, Shane Wright may put some fire in him but your gonna stop him and tell him "AYY good luck trying to pass me but your not bc u slow and suck" and anyways seatle still has 10 years to build a team so I'm not worried about them, I just they get bad luck and we get all the good luck! GO HABS GO! 🔵⚪🔴
As a Devils fan who still doesn't understand how we MON has the best W, NJ got the best D, & AZ/SEA get the best C- here's some Slafkovsky puns: "Here comes Colefield w/a big side of Slaf," "JURAJ's Slafshot beat the goalie 5-Hole."
Montreal is the most populous city in the Canadian province of Quebec and the second most populous in all of Canada 🇨🇦 - with a population of over 1.7 million in the city itself. Up to 4.1 million inhabitants live in the metropolitan area. The Slovak Republic 🇸🇰 has 5.5 million inhabitants.
With this kind of swagger, unless he's a total flop on the ice, he will become one of the most popular players on the team, along with Caufield and Suzuki. He has the perfect personality for Montreal. He reminds me of Kovalev, not as a hockey player...yet, but more the type of character he has, except he's a little more bubbly.
