Armor Supervisor Simon Brindle, Costume Designer Jany Temime and more explore how they developed the armor for each character and the unique designs behind the gold cloaks armor.
@thenickfoxx Lmfao I'm absolutely not, the TV show had the most piss poor 'armor design' and lack thereof in virtually any fantasy/medieval medium I've ever seen, despite the fact the source material has some of the sickest drip in all of fictional literature.
Details that go unnoticed in films and tv series. I appreciate the craft and passion they put into it. By that i mean generally in films and tv series. A tv show or film crew with potentially 100's of people behind working to create a product, an end result we get to enjoy. Like Peter Dinklage said "It's essentially ten hour movies".
When you think about how long it takes to produce these costumes and armor, if you realize they have to come up with ideas and designs and some get thrown out and you start over and then they get approved and then you have to begin the arduous task of fabricating it all- well, I guess I can't complain that there is so much time between seasons! ; ) The end result is extraordinary.
HotD definitelly seems like it got armor more right than GoT. Some of it is more realistic, but what I like most about it is how often people in the show wear armor, and that even main characters often don helmets (at least during the tournament, we shall see if this stays during the war too).
I wonder what the stark army will look like. Imagine full sallet helmets with the visors and Chainmail suits(basically pre GOT stark armor) And a ton of furs that would be epic
This show was on around the same time as the Lord of the Rings show. One of the most striking quality differences between the shows is the armour and costumes are bloody splendid in House of the Dragon and rather plain in comparison in the Lord of the Rings show. The Seasnake's armour is probably the best piece of costume on TV since the Homelander costume from the Boys.
This video is something Amazon The Rings Of Power can't share nor take pride on from their own work, because the comparison of fidelity is tremendously in favor of House of Dragon Production team.
What a dumb, nonsensical take. I love how every low IQ NPC repeats this same script without fail, with only tiny variations. There are like 20 posts already trying to rag on Rings of Power, yall chuds are so predictable, lmao.
These people totally ruin the show GOT by ending it in season 8 in only 6 episodes,, which makes no sense at all seriously still today, I feel the pain how come Arya got to kill that horned fu*ker, and why does denariyas have to be killed, but none other than Ageon Targaryen. I want to write ✍️ the remaining plot if HBO will accept.
