This is my favourite part of the documentary, and shows the rehearsal and choreography of the famous ballroom scene. Uploaded out of sheer love and respect for the creators of Labyrinth.
I love the way David Bowie holds Jennifer Connelly in the rehearsals for the scene - he's so gentle with her!
Uploaded for pleasure not profit.

Oh good! I'm not the only one who grew up thinking David Bowie was hot as the Goblin King. I thought I was one very disturbed child, but apparently it's normal :)

Quite normal! I grew up watching this movie and even wore out the VHS tape when I was a child because I watched it so much! Glad I have it on DVD now so I can watch any time I want and not worry. I still have issues with rejecting him at the end sometimes...lol!

That's what I thought too. I love seeing the old behind the scenes videos of the two of them, he had a very fatherly or big brother relationship with her that was honestly so adorable to see.

I love watching David and Jennifer dance together during the rehearsals-the way she's gazing into his eyes is just simply adorable!! She was definitely in full on crush mode-haha!! It's too bad there was such a major age difference-you have to wonder if they might have become a couple in real life-they look so cute together!! ;-)

Yes, there was a scene and David Bowie had even begun to right a song "First Kiss". But they, like you said, cut the scene. So he never finished the song. "Such a pity." (As Jareth would say.)

It is a pity! They should have filmed the scene still, but taken it out of them movie. It should have been available later for viewers to see. I know she was underage though.

I always thought it was sweet, because she was embarrased because she wasnt much of a ballroom dancer, and David, a pro he may not have been, knew more than enough to help lead and teach her. -Sigh- CUTE!!

I fell in love with them both when I was in 3rd grade. That dance scene is the bomb. I compare every other ballroom type dance scene I see to that. Jennifer is just adorable and David is The King.

This ballroom scene…gosh I get so mesmerized, seeing David and Jennifer just spark chemistry all over the place with just looks and body language is beautiful, I honestly wished she would’ve been a tad older, that original kissing scene would’ve done so much, there would’ve been potential to make a romantic movie with a very tragic ending. 💐

I find strange thing , many actors with years of difference has a lot of chemistry when they are on the scene, as in the case of Jennifer and David with much age difference more when they join are very chemical . I'm sorry if I said something wrong .

Flávia Miranda I don't believe you've said anything wrong. As a matter of fact I think a chemistry or a hint of chemistry is what was intended for this very scene. The actors' age difference only makes it more fascinating, how surreal they portray it.

It's so weird - and she changed her name to Gates? Gates McFadden rather than Cheryl. Probably Cheryl was the real name she had before she was forced to adopt the actor name? idk But I love Star Trek TNG. It's beyond amazing for me to find out that she was in charge of my favorite scene in this movie that had such a monumental effect on my life (named my daughter Sarah after it). I've actually given Gates McFadden a hug! Marina Sirtis kissed my daughter! I got flirted with by Brent Spiner! lol I love both shows... how magical that they're mixed.

It is amazing how the creative's ideas get into your mind subconsciously. I never realized that this scene had in fact no goblin puppets in it, just human characters but still all of them wear goblin masks and act mischievously. It reminds of that big main hall in the Castle of the Goblin City full with all those goblins but turned it all into a beautiful Cinderella dream by Jareth to seduce Sarah.

How come David and Jennifer rehearsing look like the same height but Jareth looks taller than Sarah? Is he wearing high heels or what? My fascination for this movie started with the trailers showing David as the Goblin king and, I completely fell for him for this character.

Yeah, I think the boots he wore for Jareth's costumes usually had a bit of heel to them.
