Wow inspirational, thank you for making this, I am doing nanowrimo this year for the first time, and though I have not written a full length novel before, I have written short stories and comic books. I am excited to start writing novels!
I've written multiple poems and short stories but I could never manage to write an entire book but now I've got an idea and I hope that in a year or two I'll have it finished and then maybe publish it. Loved the video!♥️
Hello! Fellow Filipino writer, here. Started when I was 17, and I've got around five works under my belt. Currently writing two novels simultaneously (am 19 at the moment). Good luck and all the best!
I’m 25 wanted to be an author since I was 12. Finally working towards making it happen for real. Good on you guys for focusing in and making it happen while you’re still young.
just a little bit surreal to find this video so randomly as I was looking up writing routines; Sara Willoughby, the author of He’s Making Diamonds, has become one of my best friends! cheers to everyone and keep writing!
Thsi video is really helpful and inspiring. I love that there are people my age writing books and I hope to write one too. I love your idea of making more videos like this.
Time management is hard, i used to write from about 11pm, to 2am, But things changed, at least for now, and at the moment i just write when i can (which can't be at midnight anymore) This video is insightful, and i too agree that people should give teen writers a chance, because for so many reasons, it's a good thing to hear us out.
This video speaks to me because it reminds me of something my Grandfather told me: "You are never too young and you are never too old. If you don't do something when you are young you will become older and when you are old you will look back with regret."
Wait, I actually know / have heard of so many of these people? All of you are going places; I can't wait to watch each and every one of you grow. Much love
I'm currently writing a book and will probably publish it next year. I have a passion for writing and reading. I always beg my parents to buy books and take me to the local library. I love books with thrill and suspense because it's always a mystery waiting to be solved. The characters of the books i read stay with me forever. But I love to read any type of book to be real here :)
I really like this video. It reminds me I'm not the only one trying to make it a very young writer and that maby I can finish and publish the first book of my ever so loved trilogy. Also character building really helps just so others know, I use Pinterest of all things and it keeps me motivated to write about these characters I love so much
I’m just starting my first book and I already felt like I had a lot of pressure I put on myself, so thank you for making this video and making my day so much better! I recently found your channel and I really admire you and I just wanted to tell you you inspired me very much with only the few videos I watched. Thank you for deciding to make this channel and share your experience! ♥️
I am a 13 year old girl who has an idea for writing, but I haven’t published anything yet. This video really brought me up and it makes me feel like I can do it, and I don’t have to be an adult and have gone to college. I can just get my ideas and stories down and send them out to the rest of the world. So, thank you!
This is so helpful to me. I can relate to a lot of these writers. Writing is something so special to me. I have a four-person writing group as well, but RU-vid is so so helpful as well. I am currently editing my first novel.
This is so inspirational for me to write if I was bored enough to type some words. Thank you for making this video. I found some inspirations from some young authors
I feel different from the rest of my peers, but in a good way. Me and my friend, we both like to write, and we often read each others stories when we have nothing better to do. She has an interesting writing style, like your reading then all of the sudden BOOM there's that, and I'd say that mine is more mature. It's cool to see what each other think about, where we get inspiration from, and the vastly different ideas that we have.
I find balancing my schedule very hard as I have illustrating and pet portraits to draw too! And its also hard for me to continue because sometimes I think my writing isn't good enough so there's no point in doing it anyways. But I try. The advice in this video with fellow teens is amazing! Im looking to writing a 5 book series. Still stuck on book 1 haha.
I acctally feel like theres a advantage to being a teen writer because you can Express yourself through writing and characters and you dont have to have a time it has to be done in a certain time and you can write as many books as you want and if you dont want to share the writing process you can Express it to yourself and get ideas from music and other things . I think that theres alot teens can do adults can also I think that some teens can write better then some adults also I'm writing a book write now called the battle for the mystical forest yeah cliche title but the story I think is good so far I even started to cry at some parts already and I hope that If you have a dream of being a writer vet or anything else you wanna be I say go for it do you work hard and say I can do it and we learn and hope when the moment comes you'll say I did it all!
My title for my book is Lights of Obscurity following a plot around trying to stop a mysterious organization! Edit: After thinking about it for a bit I realized that writing in the perspective a 23 year old who worked as a detective just wouldn’t work. I am no where near old enough to be able to write a character that is 23 and a detective, realistically. So now it’s a 16 year old! Same plot however!
Cool! Mines not done, but it’s either gunna be called “Two black dresses” or something else cause I somewhat don’t like that title. (It’s lgbtq, centred at prom & deals with lgbtq teen situations)
i've been writing the same book for almost three years. i thought the characters were not diverse at ALL, very basic. soon, around these next couple of months i'm going to start revising everything about the characters. i love writing characters (i don't think i'm that bad at it either) it's the plot i normally need help coming up with. i've just been trying to stick with this book because i love the idea about it so much and i adore the main character. in all honesty, this video was SUCH an inspiration!!!
I writing a really complicated 3 novel series, and I'm really over my head, but I'm enjoying it, and hoping to get the first one done before the end of high school. Which is like two years from know.
Currently 11 years old and writing a novel. Can’t find the right publisher, but I’m sure I’ll find it soon. I consider myself a feminist, and the novel I am writing deals with feminism, sexual assault, mental illness, self-harm, abortion, LGBTQ and Transgender Discrimination, and suicide. All at the hands of a women named May Bennett over the course of seventeen years, and from ages thirteen to thirty. Writing page 35 at the moment, but hoping to make at least 90 more pages. Maybe I should self-publish the book, which seems like a good idea to me. Ava Broadway is my actual name, so that would also look cool on a book cover.

Yes it’s not a common hobby but all the way through high school even in grade school I remember I was 11 years old when I first started writing novels and short stories it started when I was about 910 years old and I started writing short stories for fun and then I started writing novels for fun but also something to do and I love writing so that’s my hobby and always has been I write in my spare time in my free time when I try to write every day if I don’t write some days it’s because I have a migraine or I’m not feeling well or I have a cold and it’s causing me to not feel very well but otherwise and that I write my. Book series that is all about a band called the cranberries from the 1990s dedicated to the cranberries bandmembers and to Dolores O’Riordan who has unfortunately passed away in 2018 these books that I write our dedicated to them and it is a six book series but I work on it as much as I can I work on it every day on a daily basis unless again as I said if I’m really sick I have a migraine or I’ve just had a really really really really really really really busy day otherwise and that I work on it most days
I've heard that it's really important to read a lot to pick up a feeling and the vocabulary for storytelling. So I don't know how to balance writing and reading and which one of the two to prioritize.
Right now I'm just writing a story about 'The mean girls of North Hillton' and I would love to Become an author one day. But I'm doubting myself Edit: I am just writing from a copy book
This was an amazing video! I am a writer myself, though I do not have anything published as of yet, and this was really helpful and inspirational 😁 Thank you so much, all of you. 💖 Keep following your dreams
How do you know each other? How to make a friend without attending in university? (I'm 20. I'm not studying in University. I want to meet someone who are interested in writing and drawing like me.)
Thank you for this! ❤It shows me a lot of different perspectives. I love reading and I dream to write but I cam never bring myself to actually doing it😅 So uhh..any tips for demotivated ppl? 😂
I’ve been mostly writing fanfics of my favorite anime Attack on Titan. But I want to make my own original romance novel, but I’m not sure how to start and the way I write is mostly conversations or non descriptive words or I use those words a lot, you know?
