Sorry I missed Warrior Cats 20th birthday... but I wasn't happy with the first version of this video, so I took the extra week to make it a hundred times better!

We all know about the Warrior Cats Hub, the current (and only) official warrior cats app. But over a decade ago, HarperCollins released a different app, and for the longest time it was unobtainable... until now!
I'll be diving deep into the unknown "Warriors" app that ruled my childhood in the early 2010s. Exclusive fun facts, interesting character profiles, and an official Warrior Cats game are all features the app brags about - but does it live up to the hype?

The intro for the app was the same intro for the old site 🥰 nostalgia at its finest. I miss when things weren’t a clean and sanitized corporate hellscape and actually had character to them.

This app feels like a weird dream these days lol I remember the opening PV used to be on the old website too (but longer), and it would scare me half to death as a kid so much so that I had to turn the sound off whenever I loaded it up :')

The loading screen for the app/the website is BURNED in my mind. I was obsessed with the og website in any form. I remember thinking about the Leopardstar was a dry paw was so cool. I kinda miss the weird intro. XD

Goshh, I nearly forgot this app existed. I remember playing the trivia game quite a lot with a friend of mine and I think I remember some questions incorrectly wrong too. It's super cool to see it brought up and talked about!!

YES i remember this! the app’s intro kinda scared me as a kid bc of how loud it was. i downloaded it on i think it was either my ipod touch or my moms ipad. i remember being kinda disappointed because i thought there would be more games and quizzes and they didn’t have profiles for every character but i liked looking at the maps and the timeline :)

I still have this app on my phone! Tried to open it a while ago and it crashed immediately and was wondering what the heck happened to it. Sad to know it's gone but at least I can still look at the app icon

How do you emulate an app that is no longer available to download? I'm really interested in tracking down the Night At The Museum 2 mobile game for Blackberry, which despite being listed on the same Wikipedia page as the film's console game adaptation, is in fact a completely separate game.

12:03 from what I remember, that video was Vicky welcoming you to the world of warrior cats. It was under a minute long and she was either sitting outside somewhere or in her offer with her cat messing around on her window.

omg 3:46 that was also the same intro that ALWAYS played when you loaded the old website and it was SO LOUD. If you ever hear anyone mention a screamer on the old website that's what they're talking about. I always had to mentally prepare myself whenever i would visit the site. good times lol edit i forgot to mention WHY did they make cinderpelt exclusive trivia that she was in love with firestar????

i LOVED this app, i was so upset when my phone was too updated / developed to play it anymore 💔 12:02 , i remember as a child i used to watch the video from the video tab all the time since i thought it was so cool that i got to see one of the erins, i felt so honored lol the video from what i remember had one of the erins sitting in front of their house(?) in the grass on a sunny day, they were introducing themselves and the app and that’s all i know ..

@@aeluromancy2126 I agree, don’t get me wrong the new art isn’t bad per se but it’s what I call “too modern” because everyone is making animals look too realistic in media. Warriors is a fantasy series, that stylized art made them stand out. I guess it’s fitting for the art to match the quality of the writing nowadays. Which is really sad ;(

I remember this app. I had gotten a Nook to read the digital-exclusive books that hadn't been printed at the time, and I had downloaded the app onto it. I can vouch that it was almost never updated. I know because I checked in often so I could continue updating my bookshelf in-app. I should still have it on the Nook, actually. I don't believe I ever uninstalled it.

omg i completely forgot about that app!! i got it when i first started reading warriors and i remember getting confused because a lot of the things in the trivia game were false and i would get them wrong,, i think i deleted it after reading multiple retconned things in the character descriptions as well SJSHSJ

I have something to suggest. This probably isn't worth for a full video, not much research, I just want to say something about it and see if it appeals to anybody. Did anyone notice Squirrelflight's personality change from Light in the Mist to River? Squirrelflight in the Broken Code was headstrong, ambitious, and kind, but in River and Sky, she's snappy and an unlikeable character, especially since she was the reason Nightheart moved to ShadowClan

man i wanted this app SOOOO bad! my family was an android family at the time, and my grandparents didnt let me download it on their ipad (understandably) so i spent my time on deviantart and other websites making warrior cats OCs. my first email (hilariously, the one attached to this youtube, if that tells you how long i've had this account) has my warrior cats oc in the name TT man, this brings me back. thanks for sharing!

Oh my god I remember this app. The only time I remember using it was while my brother was at some Boy Scouts thing and the only thing I had with me was my iPad, but because there was no Wi-Fi the only app I had that I could use was this. I remember complaining to my dad that I was bored because there wasn't much to do and I had already looked through it all. I asked if there was Wi-Fi which I don't think there was. But that's the only time I remember using it

The app was taken off the app store and is unable to be searched/found, however you can still download the APK online. this video made me dig up my old barnes and noble nook (LMAO) i and i still had this downloaded! a slightly newer version, it's got yellowfangs secret in the book list but not much else. i remember always having the sound turned off because the intro cutscene made me so embarrassed that my parents would think im watching cat videos instead of reading

i remember this app omg 😭😭 i had it on my little samsung tablet and had not a clue it was ever taken down . it was up for a while because it had to be 2015 when i had it , i remember reading about characters like tigerstar and imagining it was a mother telling her kits about him lol . interesting video :-)
