INSIDE the MIGRANT CAMPS of Tijuana, Mexico 🇲🇽 (Very Emotional) 

Since the beginning of time, we as a human species have been migrating. We go where the opportunities are. It’s in our DNA. We migrate for food, water, weather, safety, freedom, work. This is just one of the many migrations happening around the world right now. My goal of this video is to give you a very small glimpse into what that migration looks like for the people who are actually going through it. The saddest aspect of this entire thing is that country’s are failing their people. Corruption and mismanagement lead to suffering. I know people in these comments will say “why should the United States be responsible for the welfare of another country’s citizens; we have our own problems.” I completely understand your point of view. However, my mission here is to simply show you what people on the ground are going through. I hope you understand that. El problema de muchos de ellos es que ,tienen una obsesión por USA y no quieren ayuda de México, les parece poco nuestro pais , se les ofrece trabajo acá y no les interesa mexico, a diferencia de los haitianos que ya son parte activa de Tijuana.

Very honest piece. I spend a lot of time in Tijuana as a child with lots of family there. It’s so sad to see people suffer in these living conditions and the realities of life for them in their home countries.

Thanks for sharing this content. Such a big eye opener. So sad what is happening to these people. Although this doesn't solve their problem at least someone is giving them the time of day to explain in first hand what is happening. It's impossible not to feel compassion.

I accidentally drove through that exact camp the other day when I got lost in TJ. My car was swarmed by literally 2 dozen of them one of them was reaching through the window and hitting me when asking for things. I'm not one to judge but all I can say is the way they were acting it was like more " aggressive" than American culture it just doesn't work mixing different cultures at a large scale.

The problem with this people they are very disgraceful, and disrespectful, that is why people get tire of helping this people, show the bad side of them too

Es simplemente ilógico que piensen que Estados unidos los recibirá. Las fronteras están cerradas hasta para las personas que cuentan con visa, en que mundo de fantasía viven. Es de comprender que todos queremos una mejor oportunidad de vida pero creo que escogieron el peor momento y segunda no es la manera llegando a invadir y exigir lo que no le exigieron a su propio país. La vez pasada se comportaron de la misma manera queriendo cruzar por Tijuana como todos unos salvajes. Durante su estancia muchas asociaciones los apoyaron con alimentos y cosas de primera necesidad. Apesar del apoyo muchos se quejaron que nos les gustaban la comida, exigentes después de todo. No puedes vivir de la buena voluntad de los demás. Tijuana tiene muchos trabajos de manufactura, trabajen mientras esperan su cita de asilo. Fue su decisión venir aquí, ahora espere como todos los demás y gane la vida mientras tanto.

It’s a sad reality but world population is getting bigger n bigger so we will see this kind of situation every where… what can u do? To answer that question first u need to take care of yourself. Make your life financially freedom then help others as much as u can…

What is most obvious from looking at the situation from here is that you need to organize your refugee camps. You need to get political: hold a march down the street. You need to get the people of the U.S.A. politically involved. You need to talk to each other. Plan for the day that you will not be homeless. Set goals for when you will not be homeless. This will encourage you to take opportunities when they come up. It will give you something to look forward to. This homeless is just a temporary situation.

I can’t understand why the Mexican gov won’t put a stop to people crossing their country.

Fake news, there is tons of work for this people in Tijuana, but they dont want mexican salary, they want easy money/dollars. If they want a better life thay can have it in any state of México... but no they have to go to the US/Dollars. I live nearby the Chaparral area and most of this people is aggresive and they demand good quality food, if they really want to have a better life, they can start working here in mexico, period.

Lived in Honduras back in 87' when I was floating around different countries in CA during Iran-Contra. It was jaw dropping and left a lifelong impression on me when it comes to the word "poverty"

Lots of Haitian people who couldn't get into the US decided just to stay in Tijuana and make their new life in Mexico.

I do fell bad for them but here in Tijuana there’s plenty of work, personally I have offer some of them work and they don’t want it, cause the pay it’s not enough for them, I mean, living here like 2 years waiting to cross to the USA without doing anything besides wait? At least on the meantime I could find a job and get a place to live; violence and robbing its everywhere here in Mexico, we just have to dealt with it and adapt to it, I hope they find the place where they really want to be

It is such a shame because the USA is no longer the solution; the US has become a third world country themself. There is rampant homelessness right here. So they come thinking it’s going to be better, it’s not. Where are the jobs, where are the homes? This is so very sad, but the US can no longer handle this.

As a child of immigrants of the 60s, I feel for the people going through this at the border. But one also has to ask, "when does it stop...when do people stop coming and coming and coming?" The US is put in a bad light cause they don't easily accept people to just come in, but what other country does? Through the many faults this country has, it is the most compassionate and caring country in the world when it comes to humanitarian issues. Thanks for a great video.

I am half Mexican and Cherokee. I don't blame anyone for wanting to be a part of America, but.... you have to go thru the legal steps. We could not go to any other country without the correct steps that country requires. I feel for these people, but America cannot take care of everyone. We have homeless and drug addicts on our streets that aren't being taken care of. It all is just terrible.

I'm an undocumented individual (Argentine) in the US and after 35 years, I decided to start the immigration process and face my biggest fear. The possibility of deportation is existent but I much rather do things right and finally know what being normal is like. I want to be of service so I have created a platform for those like me.

THOSE people came from their own accord. Having worked as a social worker, no matter how much a person gets help and assistance, that person GETS USED TO RECEIVE!!! LIKE THE AMERICANS SAY THERE ARE ARE LOSERS AND WINNERS. AND ON TOP OF THEM GETTING HELP, THEY COMPLAIN. THEY SHOULD GO BACK TO THEIR COUNTRIES AND WORK HARD LIKE THE REST OF US. This was really hard to watch, we have similar issues in Africa, so many people are trying to get into South Africa 🇿🇦 for a better life. So much heart break and tragedy. Thank you for a snippet into another world, it was such an important perspective and lesson in compassion.

Why are there no reports and videos about what they are saying is happening in Central America. And why are they not embracing the freedon they have in Mexico and their people and making a better life for themselves where they are now? Mexico is a beutiful country and they are missing out on going forward with their life and a better life for their children. They already have what they were seeking and that is safety from the "gangs".

Recently went to a shelter. It's horrible, the water is storaged right aside the Mobile WC and stinks so bad. This situation is out of control in Tijuana, and some migrants who came looking for a better life are getting caught by cartels anyway.

Very sad for people that are human just like US. It makes me really appreciate everything we have including our freedom. I pray for these people, and I really wish I could help everyone. Seeing these kids hungry and sleeping in the cold really pisses me off and breaks my heart. Simple solution marry off the young women because that merges their family with another family that can help and fix the problem. If you have no young women to merge into a family then try getting a work visa and simply out work your competition. As a Mexican I didn’t understand why Americans would hate immigrants so much, when the immigrants form Haiti decided to stay in Tijuana we felt invaded but when we realized they where here to work we welcomed them in and they stayed in our city and made it their own, they are very hard workers and respectful people. I wish Americans would see that as well when people migrate legally or illegally to the US

Most everyone in Third World Countries would Migrate to U.S. They're not interested in the Melting Pot. America can't be the solutions to everyone's problems . American's are hurting, suffering, afraid and dying too. Where are Gov. Official's solving, or making their lives better?

As a child of immigrants myself I feel it in my heart for these people. If our government gives us citizens the opportunity to sponsor a family by providing them work to pay taxes I know plenty of people with businesses that would hire them on this side. Just an idea.
