Despite what School of PE says, NCEES confirmed that the breadth section references only the handbook for solution content. Depth section will use design codes and specifications. If you find a question in the breadth that is not supported by the handbook, then it is probably an experimental question. Focusing on the handbook for the breadth really helps speed things up, since you know where to look for supporting content. My strategy is to focus on breadth portion practice problems to become as proficient in the handbook as possible so speed up the time to complete. This will allow me to do a more top level study of the design codes, and give me some time to figure out the details if needed.

@@Kestava_Engineering thanks 🙏🏽. If I can pass FE and PE Exams, I am sure everyone can do it. I am 40 years old. 3 kids, moved/escaped from Afghanistan to the States in 2019. Self studied FE due to not having fees for the courses. Borrowed a FE book and then could buy one for $20. Spent some times in GoodWill stores looking for textbooks books and cheaper notebooks There’s a lot to say… NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE IF…

Please name some companion books to ASCE 7 that would help us better understand ASCE 7 code. Thank you.

Thank you, Andrew and Kestava. I am studying for PE and a little worry about masonry. Can you tell me how many questions are about masonry? And do you know a good reference book for masonry practice? I appreciate your time.

as a Team we need to talk new SE format, the new handbook, etc. I guess there is no beta out on this but going to be a wild ride. Not sure if you (Rich) took vertical and lateral or just lateral. Anyways sorry to ramble, but its nice to have some new content up. Hoping for so lateral problems on future videos. SEAOC a good source if no copyright issue. The old videos were very good. Im watching them more and more. I remember back in the day when I got on this channel I saw some videos on fence post and base plates and thought they were not relevant but now I see there is a method to the madness. Thanks!
