Splatoon 3 devs: "Splashdown sucked, so we reworked it into a new special!" Players: "So that new special is actually good and doesn't have a glaring flaw that goes unfixed for the entire game's lifespan right?" S3 devs: "... Actually Reefslider sucks so we're bringing Splashdown back and reworking it a second time!" Players: "Y-You're fixing Reefslider too, right?" S3 devs: "..." Players: "R-Right...?
I think the way that would work if they ever did it would be it would be 3 on the person who used it but nothing on their teammates, but you can chain it the way bubbler chains so if you chain one to a teammate then you lose one and they get one, and so if you chain it to all of your teammates then you get nothing for yourself, and a single charger shot or blaster shot or a second under shooterfire just completely destroys all 3 layers that are on you. Still would be terrible for the game and would make everybody miserable but would be slightly less miserable
I haven’t used the special much, but every time I see a weapon which has the special, I immediately panic more than I would in a job interview- (Also, full cover when? 4:45)
It took the devs 6 years, but they finally made splashdown usable. I haven't used triple splashdown too much myself (outside of salmon run at least), but it's even more satisfying to use now compared to Splatoon 2. Amazing video as always Alpha and happy holidays everyone! 🐯🎄
I'm pretty sure I actually facepalmed when I found out Splashdown was back despite being a panic Splashdown user in my early Splatoon 2 days. Also I just realized how broken and absolutely terrifying triple Bubble Blower would be if it was tripled, seeing as it already fires 3 bubbles O-O
Imagine a Triple Bomb Rush where you could alternate between three different kind of bombs using the directional arrows on the left stick just like in the hero mode
It’s sort of like Castle Bowser’s fists in Bowser’s Rage Stage. It’s in Super Mario Bros Wonder. Bowser eventually gains 4 fists in the final battle against him. Bowser might try to crush someone with his fists.
Triple splashdown is a nice option for clearing ledges, for blaster it’s quicker especially on high walls, and dulies like it for having more range for the ledge, and it’d help chargers, brellas, and other short range options.
the special itself is cool but if I'm up against at least one splashdown user who's spammed special save, or a full team of splashdown users who send the special back to back even though we're already cornered at our spawn area, it's safe to say that i absolutely hate the special
Bro that moment when your playing splatzones and the entire opposite team has splashdown... (We beat them but like, it felt like they were just trying to play turf war:D)
I’m happy they fixed up splashdown after the poorly executed version in Splatoon 2. The fact that even if you get cancelled out, your fist will still hit the damage! It really has some great potential in my opinion and you did VERY well on shedding light on it! Keep up the good work ❤! P.S I’d love to see you touch on the bubbler and what it is capable of!

1:50 yes I despise enperry players that can and will dodge roll in splashdown and since I haven't played in a while and I'm at like B rank nobody splashdown cancels them so they just dodge roll away
