Welcome to Diyanet Center of America. The most expensive mosque in the United States. With a cost of $100 million, it is a architectural masterpiece in the heart of Maryland.
Actually, it looks more like Nuruosmaniye Mosque. The Blue Mosque (Sultanahmet in Turkish) has it's walls covered in Blue Iznik tiles (hense the name) and the columns have Hadith inscribed on them while the dome and upper areas have versus of Qur'an.
Alhamdulillah....syukron to the Turkiye Govt for building this majestic mosque in the USA. We in Malaysia feel very proud of this good initiative by Turkiye. No matter and for whatever reason this mosque was built, we are very happy. May Allah praise this dakwah and for the Muslim in the USA congratulations to all of you and hope it will help to attract more non Muslim to get information about Islam.... Wow this is interesting. I’m also Muslim and went to the exact some Mosque two times the past week. Both Thursday and Saturday. I also went to the Cafe and everything there was tasty. Especially the lahmacun 😋
Asalam alakum I been to the masjid back july 2020. We prayed in the courtyard, becasue of covid. But so cool Alh That we have a Ottoman Empire Masjid in the heart of America.
I wish Turkish government can build such a beautiful Masjid in Canada 🍁 we have one that Kadafi build but it’s too small though beautiful Alhemdulilleh
Soon 30,000 Masajid in the US In Sya Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'Ala ❤️ Allahuma Aameen. In the UK in England and Wales, Islam has grown by 43 % when other " persuasions " have steadily and surely dwindled. Whomsoever Allah Guides none could bring astray. Allahuma Aameen BarakalAllahu Feekum
Maashaa Allah. Allah give best Eemaan, best happiness, best Halaal lifestyle, best health, best protection and best respect to all Muslims , all communities
Oh. This is Turkish mosque--- I have gone there once. Dianet Mosque ---- that is where I went when my patient Doctor Adnan Sonmez died---- he had his funeral prayer in that mosque
Mashallah! After constructing such a Beautiful Masjid I hope the Admins will make it optimally Functional in every respect of Growth and Development of the Community in particular and the Value-Based Society in General.
Ya its 100% dome structure mosque look big n cantik , so mooii , beautiful architecture too , terima kasih (thx) for share this content , im from jkrta
It’s weird to hear about it, usually on every bus ride and car ride to school( the school right next to mosque) me and my older sister would always pass by it as it was being built and prior to it being constructed. It was really interesting to see the progress as it was being built
No matter how big the mosque is, it is difficult to find a place on Friday and there are four times the congregation on the day of Eid, and thousands of mosques are under construction in Europe
This is amazing for many reasons: Such a great big Mosque and never heard about it. Wondering why no mention how large of a Muslim community is in the area.
Thanks for watching, I’m not sure either how big the Muslim community is there as I was a visitor myself with no contact with the local community. I would love for the community to let us know here how big are they.
Mashallah. Live not that far from this mosque and went here today for Friday prayers. Didn’t know much about it but it was clear this was a special place as soon as I entered.
A very beautiful mosque. An amazing place. There is an tiny mosque in my city run by Turks. Has a tiny Turkish grocery store and a restaurant.Turkish masjids tend to be welcoming place. Mosques I attend have very serious problems with parking. It often takes as long, or longer to get out of the parking lot than time spent in the masjid. Every city in North America should have a mosque build by the Turkish government (ironic considering that Turkey has been officially secular since the end of WW1 and it’s an offence to criticize Mustafa Kamal). As an aside, as beautiful as this Masjid is, the most “spiritual” prayer places I’ve been to (besides Mecca and Madina) are tiny mosques in rented space run by struggling, working class Muslims. They are plain, simple spaces operated by humble, hardworking people.
