I mean, I stopped playing ball like 7 years ago and I still play sometimes casually (last year I had time pretty much 5 times a week, this year it's been though): it happened that to keep in shape I'd shoot different types of shots with either hand for one hour straight outside, I think I got like 200-250 shots up when I did so, so 1500 in a period were you don't and shouldn't strain yourself even if with rebounders etc is just impossible, mate.

Assuming you have a dedicated ball boy feeding you and grabbing rebounds, you can get close to 10 shots per minute average. That's 600 shots in an hour of constant shooting, no breaks and infinite number of basketballs. Then do that 3 times in a day. Technically possible lol but not likely.
