This series is just what I expected. Already an instant classic. And the second round is possibly Milwaukee vs either these 2 teams. Playoffs officially on!!

That level of team chemistry doesn't exist on the Nets, unfortunately. They haven't been together long enough. Which is why I think Boston will edge them out. But I'm rooting for the Nets this series.
@@rafa328 has nothing to do with that. They just have two of the best offensive players ever. But that's just it. Either they have the ball or they're not winning
Kyrie had the most entertaining game 1 in my opinion. He gave an iconic performance, and the theatrics gave the media something to speak about, while also, firing guys up like me who love the rough playoff intensity. Thank you Kyrie Irving.
Anyone would react on that not just shaq and chuck cuz the man dont what he's talking, what the fvck he is saying both teams played their best?maybe boston playing their best but for nets?oh my !! Look how careless they are,too many turn overs and take note durant has only 20+ points which we all know thats aint his best, its much more his worst for me.kyrie is the only one playing good that game, even bruce brown is playing like a crap.if the nets is at their best they drop boston in the face a hundred and fourty, and thats a FACT !!!
@@mscooldeadly Sensitive??? You must not know what those people say. Kyrie giving a finger is the least he could do. Fans need to have rules also. Who raised these people?

Simmons hasn’t played in like a year. I wouldn’t count on him giving Brooklyn much, even if he did come back in this series. He’s not a plug in and play type player anyway. He’s not going to come in to a system he hasn’t played in, and be a plus for this team in a fast paced playoff environment.
He didn't get physical, he didn't stop the game to point them out and have them removed, he just flipped the bird. Nothing wrong with that, it's just competition.
nobody cares to be a professional anymore. there is something wrong with flipping the bird because it is a rude and childish gesture being done by a well paid professional on national TV.
Actually when parents complain they don't want their kids seeing it and networks get mad because of age related ratings there is something wrong with it. Kyrie can talk back all he wants, but he can't flip off the fans or get caught swearing on camera.
Definitely nothing wrong with it especially in this day and age. Kids hear and see more violence in movies, songs and videos. So the overreaction to Kyrie is so hypocritical ‼️
I had to rewind that last move about 3 times after he did that. Just knowing exactly what Kyrie was going to do, even before he got the pass. No dog in this fight other than loving quality basketball, we should be talking way more about Tatum's brilliance and less about Kyrie's childish antics.
I don’t like how they are making it seem like kyrie just started talking about the fans randomly. He was asked a question and he answered. He even told the reporter he doesn’t want to talk about that and to focus on the game.
Agree w/ the guys, you let your play do the talking. I'm surprised none of them mentioned Trae from last year's playoffs. Perfect example. Man had the whole arena yelling profanities at him, spitting at him, etc. All he did was small gestures & let his game do the talking. Had TWO iconic moments: the "It's quiet as f**k in here!" & The Bow.
Exactly trae didn't do anything offensive toward fans to have them spit on him. So kyrie could simply let his game do the talking as well and those idiot fans will still do sick nonhuman like things. They say fans heckling is just part of the game, well I notice it's always the same type of fans, so maybe they don't know what it means to not be the center of attention and to sit like a normal human and to enjoy the game.
Excellent points, but some people...such BS rationalization for one's behavior. Contradicting themselves in a couple of sentences, then sarcastically calling out the press for the legitimate follow-up question and whining about the discipline a player must show but fans have license to do whatever they want. Want to know what REAL tough (and possibly dangerous) fandom is? Ask a Phillie outfielder on an average or woeful team back in the day, off the record, what they thought of their hometown support when their personal or team performance was not up to minimum "standards". Leave the batting helmet on when you take the field, lest you...
Kyrie is special in the playoffs! Hit the biggest NBA game 7 Finals shot in nba history💯💯💯 Dude is legit just nasty. JB for Bos got wayyyy more hops & athleticism than Kyrie but yet JB is kinda ass at finishing at the rim! Prime example was in today’s game where he had so many missed layups at the rim & when it’s Kyrie finishing at the rim over huge ass dudes? KI a way better finisher at the rim. Was one time considered the best finisher at the rim when he was playin along side LBJ! That duo aka 1-2 punch was sooo fuckin dope💯💯💯
ong. You listen his press conferences and u re like this guy can't play he must be trash with some stuff he be saying. Then he comes out and drops 50 on 60% shooting 😂😂. He is a killer
Yeahh but karma's a biatch! Stomping Boston's logo in the regular season was pure disrespect. Nets out in the first round...idc could be in 5 6 or 7. BUT NETS OUT FIRST ROUND!!!
End of the day we are all people .It’s fun and entertaining but nobody responds well to being called F and B words . Kyrie handled that game tonight! Tough loss ,but dude is a man ! Stand on your pride and dignity
Lebron did when they booed and hated him every arena he went after leaving Cleveland and did NOT respond he left his game speak for himself but this little crying baby can’t take the heat. If Kyrie was hosting the Oscar’s I bet the army coulda intervened
It’s the truth nba players dealt with worst sh*t than that back then, Screw what a fan gotta say it’s the playoffs and if you in Boston or NY them fans are always gonna be the most passionate lol end the series n send em home if they got a problem
Kyrie didn’t bring it up and didn’t want to talk about the fans! He wasn’t complaining about the fans he said that he showed them the same energy that they gave him. It sure didn’t hinder his performance so quit trying to make something out of nothing.
Kyrie wasn’t crying and wining. He was asked a question. He answered it. He can get back at the fans and feed off it. Now he could do it without profanity but if it’s in the crowd it’s in the game, and if you’re bringing your kids to the game that’s up to you!
Honestly Kyrie is just a spoiled brat that plays ball really well. No more, no less. They don't make them bball players like they used to. Now they're sensitive like Durant, Kyrie, and Ben Simmons
He’s fasting during Ramadan and not eating or drinking when the sun is up. So he actually is hungry. Crazy part is he’s doing this while being dehydrated and hungry.
Kenny was right about how both TEAMS played both played great defense and shot well making a lot of tough shots but individually wasn’t the best from every player
I was at the game. During timeouts he was arguing with fans while coach Nash was speaking. Fans are definitely in his head. What does he expect he stomped on the Celtics logo. He wants the attention. Not really affecting his play but who knows maybe he would have scored 50 if he wasn’t doing 10+ crying emoji‘s while literally playing
I don’t think they’re in his head it’s just trash talk back if he played like isssshh and was talking to the crowd then I would agree but I doubt they’re in his head
@@banksy6462 yo. It doesn't make sense. Trae young will do this everyday. KD regularly tells fans to stfu and enjoy the game and everyone calls them killers. Now he's crying and unprofessional?
@@poocrayon4588 Skip and Shannon make good television but theyre way too biased about everything and only talk about Lakers, Lebron, Cowboys, Lebron, Brady, Lebron and Cowboys

I’m not a big kyrie fan but I would’ve did the same thing to those fans it was just in the heat of the moment. If their gonna trash talk the players they might get something in return.
As a lifetime Celtic fan from Boston I honestly love how he responded - it just plays into the story. Kyrie is good for the game - now we just gotta beat him. I love all the smack talking
Nets have Kyrie and Durant, the Celtics have an entire team that can get 20 pts / player. When it was just Boston's bench when they were resting players, they almost beat the starters of a couple good teams. Boston is much deeper and it will pay off in the long run, especially when Williams comes back in a few games
@@Frankincensedjb123 KD had one of his worst games ever lol. Def not Net's best especially when you consider how poorly Curry and Patty Mills also played
@@kevinjames60 This confirms the accuracy of my analysis. SEVEN players in double figures tonight. As I said, deeper team. Celts have the number one defense in the NBA and have the best offense since Jan 1 with. +16 average margin of victory over that time. Historically, Celts are 40-1 when up 2-0 in a seven game series. It's over. You're also looking at the best team in the NBA. Hang 18, boys. Congrats Marcus on DPO
I like how Kyrie responded. Just bcuz back in the day the older players didn’t respond in a way doesn’t mean Kyrie was wrong for how he responded. Mfs talk too much give it right back to them and play ur best like he did
Steve Nash is the worst coach in the NBA. You ask who else can get 20 points on the Nets? Cam Thomas, LaMarcus Aldridge and Blake Griffin. Guess what? These players don’t even exist to Steve Nash and his one dimensional offense. The Nets needed a big man who can score today and he didn’t even give LaMarcus a minute.
"I don't care, I give as good as I get, waah they're so mean, us millionaire players are such victims, pssh, we're I'm from we bout dat life..." SO LOST!!!
2:43 Great Boston defense at the end of the game. Young Boston hustle pays off: Offensive Rebounds: Boston 15, Brooklyn 5 Points in the Paint: Boston 56, Brooklyn 32
It’s great hearing Shaq give some wider context and mention the likes of Bill Russell, Muhammad Ali etc around fans comments. You can only imagine what type of insults black athletes would have got back in those times. I acknowledge that fans would say some really insulting things but just do what Shaq did: send them all home by winning the series.
Yep. Beat them with success. It's the best way to get back at people if that's what you want. Don't give them attention and be successful... they hate that
Precisely. These contemporary athletes cry and whine about oftentimes valid complaints about their play meanwhile, in Russell's day, they literally had to hear constant racial slurs during their tenure and still perform at a superstar level. Its very hard not to succumb to the suggestion that modern players are soft because of knowing the history of what older athletes had to suffer in comparison.. although, that being said, I have no complaints with how Irving dealt with it because he took that negative energy and used it to fuel his play as is made evident by his 39 points (though maybe some of that energy should have went to the defensive end 😂)
Because athletes nowadays answer back, it's now called 'whining and crying'? Fans be clutching your pearls when a player retorts, and they have the nerve to call players soft. If the players want to answer back they should be able to, because they can afford it. What type of soft-ass fans do we have now that get bothered for a player answering back?
@@gameoverability1876 this is what I'm saying lol am I bugging?? Boston scraped a win by a buzzer beater. KD plays his worst game all season, Seth shot terribly. Crazy foul trouble. KD will not play that badly again im sure of that. I don't know what Kenny was talking about cause this wasn't Brooklyn at its best. Not when KD is shooting 36% from the field. He had like 5 turnovers in the 1st half. Brooklyn in 7
Bro if you take a stop watch you can literally see a time discrepancy where they slow the clock ever so slightly but even that little .8 seconds is the difference between a win & a loss AND THEN THEY SKIP From .2 to 0.0 YOU CAN CLEARLY SEE IT!!!
I agree the nets defensively probably played the best game they can shot 54% I don't see how the nets can win this series unless KD and Kyrie and both getting 35+ and they both play hard on the defensive end ..I just can't see that happening 5/6/7 games in a row
kyrie is truly kobe's disciple, booker maybe the closest with moves and tatum feels he's kobe 2.0 but kobe's mind resides in kyrie, fusing with irving's active mind
@@GreenCloudArtOrg420There it is - bingo.! It's the Westbrook template. Often Mamba performance from him, if you will. But the Mamba Mentality (ESPECIALLY the discipline aspect)...still looking for it.
I respect kyrie for trying to stand for himself but honestly this is nothing new especially for black athletes unless the nba does something at this point I respect him for standing up aslong as it doesn’t get physical
Here we go with the victim race card. Kyrie literally lied to the fan base, made a Nike commercial on wanting his number retired at garden, sabotage the locker room because the almost made to the finals without him.
@@the406seadonkey6 Kyrie has been himself, and to people who are stuck in the corporate mindset of being a cog in a machine that would seem foolish. Im sure its engrained in you that anyone who shows individualism is a distraction, but thats just the team PR staff and the coaches who were fired shortly thereafter, brainwashing you. Where is Brad Stevens if Kyrie was the problem? What happened to the Cavs after Kyrie left? He could've helped, but to make him out to be a cancer is just showing how much you blame a guy for being himself. When that same individuality is what drives his style and his greatness, you and everyone else can uplift him. Im glad the vaccine thing happened, he showed with his actions that he isnt a diva, he believes what he says he is just different. That different is good for the game, and for the world.
@@Jstrelts Doubling down on stupid, I see. Whatever bud. Kyrie is no sage or here and you're being misled and need to learn to think for yourself realistically. Being contrarian doesn't make you special.
@@the406seadonkey6 I am thinking for myself. I think that in life sometimes you are the villain to people and you cannot help it, so you go along and play the role so life can continue rather than play the victim. I think its commendable that kyrie understands its all in the name of competition and not a personal act of "hostility" like a reporter was trying to get him to say when asking questions at the post-game presser. These may be high level thoughts for you, so take your time bud
@@the406seadonkey6 You havent made any logical points just generalized statements. I never said Kyrie is a sage, and im not being contrarian for the sake of being devil's advocate either. But hey, find another insult to throw my way, i understand thats all thats in the tank for you.
This is why sports have gotten boring…. The reporter used “hostile” in a competitive environment to describe a player who was on enemy territory…. And the player had to let him know…. It’s too much labeling. Every move is labeled, every word the athletes say is antagonized until it’s negative…. It’s competition!!! I don’t see the problem with the player OR the fans…. Great game!!!
And you're doing what the reporters are doing (in your opinion) but defending the player. Kyrie deserves no defense. He's a prick. It's innate in him and he will be petulant until his dying days.
"SPORTS" are boring because... POST GAME INTERVIEWS?!?!? So Chuck is WRONG?? It WAS a good game but the interview retroactively made the game boring???
I hope the nets lose every game. I am sick of the media calling them the favorites without them showing us anything in the last 2 years to back these comments up and be considered favorites 🤦♂️
KD played bad cuz we bodied him up all game long. We were physically imposing on him. If we allowed to keep playing that way hes gonna struggle this series. The Celtics defense is the reason he had a bad game. He didnt just miss open shots all game.
Shaq talking about what Russell, and all those guys went through was a good point, but we are not in those days, and will not return to it. The reason we are not in those days is because there was a movement/resistance to it during the struggle. We have to define some lines because if you don't, people will move the line and we'll be back in the 50s and 60s, at least verbally. Nope, You're not calling me just anything and get no feedback, no matter where it is. I don't think Shaq would respond favorably to someone coming up to him and calling him just anything.
