@@MikeBrownLegend They say Larry Bird was the biggest trash talker, but even today Barkley still talks straight cash. I think Chuck had to have been the biggest talker. It still shows today.
I wish the younger folks knew how special and great Barkley was as a player. There are highlights and such, but they pretty much know him for this tv analyst work. Us that are a little older who lived thru his career knew how great he was.
Barkley would let opposing players, fans and media have it at any time, he's been like that for 3 decades which is why he can basically say anything on the air and he doesn't get cancelled like some other new celebs would in todays' world.
I was born in '93 so I never got to watch Charles play but anyone who studied the game knows that he is a Top 5 Power Forward and probably a Top 5 player throughout the 90s.
Chuck was impressed with KG during that series. Rockets went on to win... Chuck pulled K.G. & Starbury to the side and told them to stay together. They can win in the future together.
As a die hard Rockets fan I remember that game and that soundbite from Charles. But when they first showed it they censored what he said and I never knew what he said to him until now

not only the big 3 of chuck dream glide all being 34 years old but they surrounded them with 33 year old mario ellie 34 year old kevin willis 37 year old eddie johnson and 35 year old sedale threatt ..they were an old core man...they had 39 year old charles jones on the roster too..what a old contender...if it wasn't for matt maloney the 25 year old they wouldn't have anyone on the playoff roster that mattered under the age of 33..like thats crazy...
