Completely agree with Chuck. The problem with Harden is not only that he has asked to be traded three times in a row, but the way he tries to force those moves (getting out of shape, backstabbing members of the team, not showing up etc), just pathetic
if your boss said come to my department and i will give you a raise (Contract Extension) and then you work your butt off but your best employee (Joel Embiid) does not show up for the busy days (Playoffs) how would you feel if your boss (Darrell Murey) no longer wants to give you a raise that he promised after you worked your butt off leading your department in sales (Assist)
This is what the 76ers get if I’m James Harden I’m going to turn this into a clown show they played around with your money they are playing around with your career and all these pundants on television don’t think they’re good but yet they are saying that you should just stay and play it and keep your mouth shut
People doing mental gymnastics to find excuses for the guy. After he choked against the Spurs bench in that playoff game that eliminated Houston and then was partying at the Club I knew he wasn't about winning. 😂😂
Nah his got a point on this one. If you’re going to excuse the absence, you then can’t deny guy on the plane once he arrived at the airport, that’s just creating more drama. Also BS on the whole fitness thing. They want him to work on his fitness without the trainer.
Kenny is such a clown. This dude talkes for 8 minutes and SAID NOTHING. He takes so much time to bring a point and then doesn't bring a point at all. He's terrible!. If this show was with only Ernie,Shaq and Chuck nobody would ever notice Kenny wasn't in the show.
@@RomnysGonzalezKenny has bad moments, but saying nobody would notice if he wasn’t there is just flat out wrong. He’s the instigator that is actually responsible for a lot of the shows great moments. You’re out of line for that bullshit.
This show is one of the reasons I'm so into basketball, they're informative, they don't take each other seriously, and theres always a surprise every episode, these guys r the best
not only he has reputation as a choker during the playoffs, now he also has reputation as someone who quits on his team... no team would want to trade for him except for salary dump for his expiring contract
Well, that's just not true, many team wants a James Harden, they just don't want to pay premium for him, and ofc they don't want to give him a fat extension after this year, but for the right price which isn't low, many team would be happy. Let's say the lakers, offer Russell and Prince and some, is that bad? Definitely not bad, not a great fit but Harden is better than Russell at 3 point shooting and running point by a lot, which still is an upgrade.
@therocklau that's a terrible trade wtf??? Harden is inefficient and ruins teams lmao how come he hasn't won 1 ring? What happened on the rockets? Nets? It's embarrassing what he is doing
Things turned for the worse once Harden stopped getting those calls from the refs. When the refs was giving him those weak foul calls, it helped him in the points category, which made him look better than what he was offensively. Once they stopped blowing the whistle, the real James Harden was introduced.
Shaq said he wouldn’t affect the team. Remember when he needed surgery and waited until October to get it done instead of over the summer so he could be ready for the start of the season??? He said “I got injured on company time; I’ll get surgery on company time.” He delayed surgery until October and that affects the team.
Aldo he demanded a trade and the Lakers did just that, is the same Harden asked the 6ers to do, and now everyone is acting like if that never been done before, just Harden does it all the time, that's how the 6ers got him
I understand Kenny's point, but he's making it seem like it's easy to trade away Harden for anything substantial, they'd still want some value for him considering they're on a hurried timeline to win a title, a couple of role players for what they perceived to be the co-star is not enough to push the needle.
the teams that want Harden are in a win it all now year and only few teams in that situaton Hence the Clippers..They dont wanna wait another year to get Harden who isnt getting any younger...this is why Clippers are still in talks with Sixers for Harden. Eventually they will cave in...
@@JustaKarenDiscoveredTheIntrnet I know, and I don't think what Clippers are offering is a needle mover in terms of helping Sixers win a championship. Norman Powell, Marcus Morris, (maybe) Terance Mann, and some picks aren't very enticing imo.
The Clippers are probably going the Baker Mayfield route and are hoping Harden becomes such a problem they just cut him. The Sixers are boned. They can't win with Harden, they can't win without him, and there's no package of players anyone would actually trade for him that would get them there either. It's Process 2.0 time, may as well Ttade Embiid and look to build around Maxey I guess.
Naw he saying it just to get rid of him u ain’t gotta trade him to the clippers , he saying now it’s more difficult to get a bag a skittles n Arizona for him now
The NBA really needs to get behind a clause in the contracts where teams can waive players who refuse to play without it counting against their salary cap, and the waived player cannot sign with another team for one year, or something like that.
What if a team refuses to play a player, like John Wall in Houston? Wall said he wanted to play, but Houston had a youth movement. Should a player be able to also void a contract if he isn't being played?
That wouldn't be a bad idea if it also meant that the teams need to also draft their players and stick with them. Thing is, most bootlickers don't say a word about loyalty when the billionaire owners and team admin trades whoever they want, whenever they want. Hundreds of players get done dirty by teams every year, and no one gets emotional and cries about it. Some players get traded and they dont even know until its on Twitter.😂😂
Haven’t a lot of the legends of the past also done the super team trades? Wilt to the Warriors, Kareem to the Lakers, Pippen, Barkley and Hakeem joining the rockets. A lot of players have done the loyalty thing but there have always been a substantial number of players who haven’t
@@louisloother301 bruh it's not the organization's fault. He's done this two times before, are you not paying attention. He asked for a trade if that's not a diss then what the hell is. Stop standing up for these dirtbags bruh.
@@louisloother301 So it's Houston fault, no its Brooklyns fault, no its Phillys fault, no its wherever he goes next fault. I'm from L.A. and I still think he's on some b.s. I wouldn't want him on my team. He's a spoiled brat. And doesn't realize he's not in that elite group anymore. He's a has been, and not a winner.
@@jrow3101 Houston failed to win a title and then were effectively in rebuild mode already. If Harden had stayed, he'd have just gone through the same thing Dame did. Brooklyn it turns out was a toxic situation for almost everybody and literally all three star players wanted out. As for Philly, if you believe Harden's narrative, they said they were going to pay him, they didn't, so he signed into his option so he could be traded, but Philly wouldn't accept any of the deals presented. Probably because they were bad. Asking for a trade is not a diss. Holding out is not a diss. Organizations will cut you, trade you, and reward your loyalty with trying to pay you less. It's a business, and also a team. And not every team will have a good fit. If you had the option of working for a company that treats you well, why would you want to work for one that treats you poorly?
@@louisloother301i suppose the rockets and brooklyn organizations were garbage too huh? Of course it's everyone else's fault but Harden. That dude's a saint.
The craziest part of all of this is that he is actually on the perfect team, the sixers are contenders, Embid is a complementary star and they let harden run the point. So confusing
Best point chuck has made in recent memory. Morey messed up because all of hardens antics are decreasing his value in the eyes of other teams. Should’ve got 90 cents on the dollar and called it a day. It still would’ve been enough to pair with your current assets and try and make another splash at the deadline or next offseason to keep Joel happy.
As much it is a player-empowered league, there needs to be some rule set between the NBPA and the NBA that for an individual, trades cannot be demanded every season. Or not what's the point for the team that traded for the player?
I don't think the league can or should do sth. About it. As long as teams are stupid enough to bet on guys like kyrie and harden after all their drama... You can't save those idiotic teams.
No, there doesn't. If a player is under contract, you don't have to trade them. If they don't play, they get fined, and the service time on their contract gets extended. Like Thomas Muller said, if teams are stupid enough to trade for such players, who are we to stop them?
Would never happen, because it would have to come with a clause that Teams will also be restricted from trading a player every season. The thing is, most bootlickers don't get emotional and cry about it when the teams trade players all over the league.
Kenny needs to stfu. We've seen just how much team chemistry can change when a player acts out of professionalism and gets no punishment. We saw it with GS last year when Draymond sucker punched Poole, stepped away from the team for 2 weeks, then came back and recieved no punishment. Poole was never the same after that punch and we saw just by his body language and attitude that it created a rift within the team. GS organization not punishing Draymond just told Poole that they don't care about him even after they gave him a max contract. As we all know GS never rose up to their full potential while basically running it back with almost the same Championship roster they had the season before. What's best for the team is holding stars accountable for behavior detrimental to the team.
Kenny talking about putting out the fire.. why would I let a guy who wants out, hasn't been with the team for 10 days interact with the team or even play. It sends a message to the players that he's above the law or even hender the teams morale. aggered, stfu Kenny.
Who cares Harden took a 14mil paycut and was lied to and aint get a new deal, some things are bigger than basketball but ppl act like players are not human
Shaq’s right, and there’s a respect Harden forfeited when he decided to forgo any semblance of professionalism. The response he’s receiving, from both the Clippers and the 76ers, is a direct response to the immature way Harden has tried to conduct this deal, and many deals before.
I think it’s the exact opposite. I think Harden knows he’s washed. If he really thought he was still an all NBA player, he would have let his contract expire and become a free agent, because he would have thought someone would have given him a better contract. Opting into his contract is an admission that he couldn’t have gotten anything better on the free agent market, and he knew it.
If I was from the Clippers organisation, I'd be wary of his behaviour. What he's done at Houston,Brooklyn and Philadelphia can be repeated at LA,ie,he might just stop coming one day when he wants to move out and judging by his speed, that happens pretty quickly
I am a huge Celtics fan but I feel bad for Joel Embiid. I respect Joel because he is a realist. He had to deal with this crap with Simmons now he’s dealing with Harden. Philly fans don’t blame Joelle when he signs somewhere else when he becomes a free agent. He tried. Can’t blame him.
Bad management. Stop kowtowing to Harden like he's a true superstar. A true Superstar wouldn't act like he does. And obviously, I'm not talking about his skills.
Kenny isn't excusing Harden's actions, he's just saying that one party has to give a little leeway so the situation doesn't keep ballooning out of control, and in this latest incident they fed Harden some BS lie to keep him separated from the team, which just fuels the fire.
Kenny is right, and the fact that Darryl Morrey is somewhere hiding and not addressing this is a problem but SAS spoke about his sources saying that James Harden is not wrong about calling Darryl Morrey a liar he has lied to quite a few players. Kenny spoke facts all Darryl Morrey and other had done is thrown gasoline on this 🔥.
Not that I wish it on Harden, but it’s crazy how the media hasn’t killed him like they’ve done other players in the past. Whether it was Kyrie, Ben Simmons, Kawhi, AD, etc. The media has just let it slide, for whatever reason. Like could you imagine if this was KD doing this!? The media would call him all types of names and try to destroy his character and reputation. Maybe it’s because James isn’t seen as “top tier”/“elite” anymore. But I really do believe the media pick and chooses who they bash.
Better yet look at Westbrook….they slaughtered him forever and he showed up every day & every game 😂😂😂 sure his quality wasn’t great but nobody can say he wasn’t dedicated like Harden & media are going so easy
This feels like Harden is gonna be out of the league after this year or next year. KG said it best a little while ago- “you only get so many wiggles, and he’s running out of wiggles
kobes words about harden is hurting hardens ego this is why he never apologizes or gets better because he takes what he learned with mike dantoni and tries to implement his offense on these teams that he gets traded and if it doesn't work he gives up, comes fat, and wants to get traded also he bumps heads with the other superstar, cp3, kyrie, and now embiid. Also his career pretty much is closing on him too
I don't blame him for leaving that dumpster fire in Brooklyn, frickin Kyrie flat-earth-anti-vaxx bs, and Ben Simmons whimping out and calling it back pain....but I will never forgive him for leaving KD out to hang on his own. He didn't ruin the team dynamics, Kyrie did that, but he ditched on one of the best players in the league and that is unforgivable in team sports. I can't stand him.
He's made it impossible to trade him. If he wanted to be traded he should have kept his mouth shut, and posted videos on twitter of plates of broccoli, Olympic lifts and a six pack.
Shaq and Charles are not wrong, but I like what Kenny had to say. Harden showed up to get on the the plane. He' basically saying that he's ready to put the BS behind him. He doesn't need to play if the Team determines he's not in shape. Let him show up in Milwaukee and sit on the bench. Philly made security stop Harden and kick him out. You added fuel to the fire. You're the organization, you need to be the one to take the high road with the younger more emotional and passionate NBA player.
If he’s not in shape then he sitting on the bench is counterproductive. He should be in the Gym ramping up as quickly as possible so that he can be in shape for the next games, which is exactly what the Sixers told him to do. It’s not their fault that he decided to sit on the couch for 10 days. Season started already and they don’t have time to waste.
Thats actually good that the NBA has called them out on this and demanded an explanation. If it had been the other way around 76ers would have ran with it. This situation needs to be put to an end as soon as possible. Its just bad for the start of the NBA season. IDK what can happen though Clippers pulled their offer. They will come back way lower than they left and NBA looks like its going to keep pressure on the organization as well.
Believe it or not depending on your job you actually CAN go ghost from work and come back like nothing happened. I work in management and I can’t count how many times I’ve seen people go on “leave” without approval just to come back days, weeks and in some rare cases MONTHS later and have hr retroactively approve their leave thus allowing them to keep their job.
I agree with Kenny on this one, both are doing things wrong- James for not being professional and handling things internally and the Sixers organization for not trying to calm things down. Yes, James started everything and he has the most to lose in this case, but there's no denying that the organization could be doing better- like actually having James travel with the team, thus not creating the future drama of Harden not wanting to travel with the team once everything is ready.
