This Panamera looks a lot better than the previous Gen. I would buy one

You can see from the centre console why I hate having gloss black in a car. The fingerprints would drive me crazyyy.

It's more a computer than a car!

Weird... the controls for the vents seem oddly unnecessary in that it adds complexity, expense and is generally less convenient compared to a far simpler manual setup of knobs as it requires you to go through an extra layer of the system which in turn requires the driver to take his or her eyes off the road. A pointless gimmick that is something Porsche should be embarrassed about, as a producer of ostensibly drivers' cars!

This system is a bit of a mess and it seems like it would be difficult to operate on the move. There is still a case for buttons you know especially when you are driving the car. Touch screens only really make sense if the car is driving itself. For the basic functions, buttons should remain. Being able to alter the temperature or fan speed of the AC without having to look (if you have proper buttons and rotary knobs) is much safer, quicker and more convenient. I don't understand the need for them to want to make everything touch especially for a brand that focuses a lot on being a "driver's" car.

Tim, I missed your opinion about the sound system and how well Android Auto (and Apple CarPlay) works. Maybe in the next video? Great car btw but my choice would be the Sport Turismo.

I just saw all the panamera models at the auto show and they blew me away in real life. Absolutely beautiful car. There was a Turbo with the executive package and my god it was stunning inside and out

Love the car, hate the controls. What idiot makes the controls of a Car (or any other vehicle) which forces you to remove you eyes from the road. Or not let you use your gloves on a cold day. Idiots. The Boeing B-17 bomber had a similar problems, the toggle switches for it were - all the same - so it had a tendency to crash onto its belly after landing when a pilot threw the wrong toggle amid a sea of toggles. Modern aircraft have tactile controls, landing gear levers have a little wheel at the end of it, flaps have a little wing. Why o why are idiot designers competing with cell phones? I say again, Idiots! And why don't you ever point out that there is no spare tire anymore. Guaranteed to leave you stranded somewhere, usually an inaccessible spot without cell phone signal (no bars at all) to call for help which may not come that day. In a foreign country. While you freeze to death without you gloves because of the "touch" controls. I'm disgusted.

Jesus way too many fucking buttons! Compared to a Tesla, this thing has WAY TOO MUCH going on. Simple is always better.

I do not understand the logic of having an analog amongst the digital display in the dashboard. Had that analog display been a digital display, the navigation map could have have stretched the whole display like an Audi. That would have been correct to me when Porsche is a high end brand than an Audi. Just saying .... The side intakes could have been dropped ..... and slits inserted on sides for cooling... that could have made the front end pretty.... having said that..Porsche is not into pretty-ness.

Could this be a possible FF replacement when the time comes that the FF will have to go?

I love it but how do you use it while driving? Honestly I have never ever seen a more complex way to adjust the air conditioner or the fans..... and you don't feel the buttons? Hmmm

You should replace the FF with a new Panamera Turbo it fulfills all your needs of a GT car like 4 seats, luxurious interior and a great badge .

Although this interior is fantastic, I wish all manufacturers would get rid of high gloss black interior bits.. fingerprint magnets.

From some angles the Panamera still looks bulbous and ultimately can't escape the fact that it is physically too big to fit into a standard UK parking space.

ur next car should be a panamera gts. for me my perfect car would be a 911 gts targa. im not sure if they make that spec but that would be my pick for a long distance tourer.

I like the screen. Wish they still had physical buttons... Easier to tell which button you are pressing. The digital vent control is silly.

Can the rear media be locked out? Imagine have your two children in the back seats constantly trying to change the music.

9:13 I think having the 'Park' function be a separate button from the gear selector is dopey. I have the same setup on my SLS. Here's the trouble...a valet, a friend, wife, whatever who gets in to drive for the first time (or just very seldom) is going to think "Ahh, to put it in park, just shove the selector all the way to the top" - which is the way it's been for decades (?). Instead, what happens is they put the car in reverse (thinking it's park) and then take their foot off the brake...and bad shit happens. Just ask me how I know.

The screen in the back bothers me. Is there an option to get it taken out? What if you have children??

What about the integrated services and apps like flight information or gas prices?

The vent controls is amazing! I think this car is worth the money unlike the flagship Benzs/other Germans. The 918 and Pagani Huayra have the best interiors though!

I wonder how you use all of these features while driving. I own a panamera from 2013 and even there it is horrible and dangerous to use most of the buttons or even worse the touch Display. In my BMW I use the small wheel in middle console and it feels much safer.

Love it. I think Porsche just blew Mercedes and BMW out of the water with this car. However, the one thing I don't like is the vent control. This is a perfect example of taking technology too far. I'd still prefer it over an S class or a 7 series though...

Nice that the rcechip- gadgets can be removed without any changes or suspicions. The next owner will never know it was tuned and probably abused more than he wants :) Also perfect for all leased vehicles :)

Shmee, you can answer me in private message but I would appreciate your respond, I am confused between buying a bmw 5 m550i series or 750li series vs the panamera 4s. Based on your personal opinion and various reviews you did. Which one would you prefer? a bmw or a porsche which will you Advice to have?keeping in mind the power, reliability of the car, the design inside and outside. Honestly I love bmw but I see the panamera is way advanced so I am confused. I would appreciate your response and thank you for your time and I am a big fan of you and your reviews. ☺

Porsche did a great job on the technical side of this making sure everything works smoothly but personally I think it's a bit too much for me. I mean how far am I as the driver sitting from actually just being able to touch controls without having to go through many menus to actually move the vents. I think it would be a lot faster and easier if the vents were manual.

These are in my opinion the best kind of videos, looking at the interior and gadgets within. The BMW 5 series has a similar interface.
