Irish people living in the 6 county's had to fight for their right to live in peace . It should never have happened . The good Friday agreement has opened the way forward . It has been hard work to date , we all need to your best to make it happen . Mistakes of the past is now history . The only way forward is to include everybody to achieve a lasting peace .education is the tool to progress . Young people of today are better equipped to achieve that goal . Leave the past in the past , it didn't make sense then I think we can all see that now . The future is at hand and needs careful handling to succeed . We can achieve it if we all pull together . Look around you now it is happening , Give peace a chance , you know it will grow on you , do what you can to make it happen . Sean you spoke well . I wish you peace for the rest of your life .
I am Australian with English heritage, as a child I saw the Irish troubles on TV, we could not fathom the outrageous violence/hatred between the two sides, I felt the English should have receded from Ireland in the early 1970’s, very sad times for all concerned.
