I love seeing the dial setworks, my grandfather owned a sawmill and I would sit in his lap as a little boy and watch him move the dial hand. Best childhood memories was in a saw mill cab
That's some nice clear lumber you are cutting there. I didn't see a lot of rot or cracks either. It must be a pleasure working nice timber like that. One thing I would like to see is a vertical laser line that is lined up with the saw blade.
As with any operation there is continuous cycle of cleaning and maintenance to be done, and it something that you don't need to apologize for. Excellent point of view angles by the way. Stay safe
Hi Ian. Another good video. Who manufactured your Sawmill? Are they still in business? Do you have any problems getting spare parts? Any information would be appreciated. I have never seen a Sawmill like this before...
Love that you change it up with perspectives. Also enjoy the explanations. Context makes things come alive. Not just some droning machine noise. I hear you talk about and do grade sawing but I never see that get to an actual separation by grade. It seems like the guys stack based on thickness, length and species or cants and ties. Maybe I'm missing something. Excellent video. Thanks
Inside the cab view is the worst view there is.....can hardly see the saw....if thats the view we are gonna get more of then i'll unsubscribe and go to other ones that have more sawing and less talking...
