I think 131 was a early production tank, because from what i read the tank was delivered to tunisia in 1943... Also the feifel filters are another feature of the early tigers that was ommited on the later models. Another thing to look for in the early tigers is the lack of second machine mounted on the top of the turret, also the road wheels on the tiger e were steel and interleaved instead if rubber and overlapped on the early models such as 131. Lastly the tiger e models had a headlamp mounted on the middle of the upper plate of the hull and tanks also lacked smoke grenade launchers on the corners of the front of the hull. While most of the features i mentioned are not present on 131, with additional track armour on the lower glacias being present, like on a contemporary tiger e, it made it very hard for me too, as well to understand if it was a tiger 'h' or a 'e' however some early photos of the tank( tiger 131) revealed that the tank had a headlamp on the top left corner of the hull, and then there is the tall commanders cupola, and the feifel filters which confirmed that it is a early production tank and not a 'e' variant.

@@nemindagamage9186 The designations "E" and "H" have nothing to do with the versions of the Tiger. They are different names for the same thing. This tank was called a "H" at first, but by 1944 the manual referred to all Tiger 1 as "E".

It's not clear. The tank was unable to fight but we don't understand why they didn't reverse out of there. Only a short distance would have put them safely behind the peak of the hill.

Mark felton did a report about a tiger 1 on the eastern front that took over 400 anti tank rounds and tank rounds and still powered off the battle field on its own power. To say these things were destroyed easily is a complete lie 😂

@@corylemons7242 A lot of tiger tanks of all variants were destroyed not by enemy fire,but by its crew when it either ran out of ran out of gas and ammunition

I don’t think it’s complicated, it’s v well designed for operation and management compared to other tanks. Easy to drive too.

Yep, I’m pretty sure most functional governments would take a rather dim view of private citizens owning an 88 that can wreak absolute havoc out to 3km. (With the possible exception of course of certain US states). Kinda elevates the mass shooting scourge onto a whole new level. I mean that’s just my opinion, and you know what they say about opinions…
