Next thing was the already restored Hetzer. They were not able to take it due to high weight. Police said best would be chopping the thing into pieces with plasma cutter(they did not said cut it with plasma cutter they are too fcuking duimb for such extraordinary words and technologies. These guys are awesome. Love how Bo works and his laugh and jokes. Makes this old man happy to see them work hard and enjoy what they do. I watch a lot of Tank rebullds and Aus-Armor is the best quality, good music, great narrative. No other tank rebuild show can compete. I also appreciate the work of the filmer - he narrates well, with great selection of music and good film of the project. I am an American and got into 1/16 scale tanks and Aus-Armor is a fun learning experience. Cheers to all of you and Bo's Dad, and all the other builders..

UNBELIEVABLY GRAND !!!! Without a doubt, the Tiger 1 is the predecessor for all MBTs today regarding its design and functionality. It had power steering and an automatic transmission -- which the drivers said were stupendous (and became standard design years later). It also had a turret floor which meant that the crew did not have to keep readjusting their positions as the turret turned -- thereby increasing crew effectiveness for the mission as well as cohesiveness. The Tiger crews truly believed that they OWNED the battlefield and talked about how safe they felt in them as the tank took hit after hit. The Tiger 1 brings together the 3 main factors that are applied today: 1. FIREPOWER, 2. PROTECTION, and 3. Mobility. While it is true that the Tiger is underpowered, the Germans could have designed an engine to give it better speed and reliability. Without a doubt, the engines of today would make this behemoth MOVE. The Tiger 1 is a masterpiece of design no matter what its detractors will tell you. It dominated the battlefield and created such tank aces as Michael Wittman, Kurt Knispel, Otto Carius, Johannes Bolter, and Walter Kniep.

Its amazing how much just a few numbers and letters on a piece of metal tells such a tragic story And I'm thankful that it wasn't destroyed by people that think that single piece of metal is just junk And landed up in your hands

Hello, Great video! I had the opportunity to get a tour of a this guys personal tank and military collection. He owned and restored a bunch of tanks housed in 4 warehouses at his residence. I understand the Tiger Tank was his favorite and hardest to get. I was super lucky to see all the amazing tanks before he passed away. He had the largest privately owned military vehicle collection in the world. The other thing that was really awesome about it was the tour guides dressed in war time outfits and knew every detail about each tank we were shown. He even had a Skud missile launcher! He was a really great person for letting the general public come and see his passion for tanks and military vehicles. Rest In Peace Mr Littlefield!

@@EneTheGene well with all the hard factors it would easily be the best but then arrives the soft factors some its good in other tho... but the gun was easily state of the art through out most if the war
@EneTheGene
@EneTheGene Год назад
@@medical_tomato1206 I mostly think that the tiger(s) were a mistake due to the production cost/difficulties, coupled with how tanks are often lost without contributing much. What I mean is that a tiger is great in battle, and has the potential to destroy several enemies before itself getting destroyed, but it could just as well just get penetrated in the side, or by simply a big gun from the front, or it could be bombed, or it could just break down and have to be abandoned. Just focussing efforts on producing panzer 4s and cheaper tank destroyers would have probably made more sense. My comment may have been a bit rambly, sorry about that :D
