Our father gotten myself and my brother into watching the Three Stooges when we were only teenagers. And we haven't stop getting enough of them since. R.I.P. to all of them. God bless
Fun stuff, thanks for sharing! We're very happy to know that your family are a fan! We love the Three Stooges. What other types of video would you like to see?
The Three Stooges has been my favorite show, even to this day! My Grandad worked as a Radio Repair Man in WW2 and then, went on, to work on ALL electronic devices and I was, right there, with him cleaning the TVs, after repairs and I dusted off the new TVs, that he was selling. EVERY TV, in his shop, was turned on to The Three Stooges. I would clean and sit and watch The Stooges, on ALL the TV's...I never could make up, my mind, which Stooge I loved the BEST, because ALL were my favorites!!!!!!
I use to watch them as a child in 70's and again with dad in 80's. They were so funny! I had a bad habit of slapping a bf due to the shorts 😮😂 Rest In Peace Stooges (all). Thank you for the laughs! ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Larry’s wife pre-deceased him by a few years before he had his first stoke. They not only had a son who died in a car crash in 1961, but a daughter too. She died in 1989 of cancer.
I remember watching Larry Fine in a commercial on KCAL-TV Channel 9 (Los Angeles) about 1970 or 1971. He was in a wheelchair in the commercial. If I remember correctly, the commercial was for an appliance store. In the early 1970s, KCAL aired "reruns" of the Three Stooges in the afternoon.
@@alexale6-qh2co Thanks for the correction, so glad someone remembers those days in SoCal. I used to listen to the Dr. Demento Show on AM Radio about 1973.
@@DifferentM14 I have a Dr Demento album. And I am a native of SoCal, having been born in Chula Vista. I lived in SoCal until age 45, when hubby and I left the state to be closer to his family. So sad to see the cesspool California has become in recent years.
A long lost part of my childhood was The Three Stooges, with their jazzed-up "Three Blind Mice" theme song. More recently, I learned that Curly was actually a star athlete (basketball, of all things) in his high school.
A nice tribute to the 3 Stooges! A quick correction though, several times you mention Curly as an original Stooge. That’s not correct. The originals were Moe, Larry and Shemp. Curly came in to replace Shemp who quit because he hated Ted Healy (back in their vaudeville days) so much. Then Shemp replaced Curly as you mentioned when his stroke(s) sidelined him. I did get a chance to meet Larry once at the Motion Picture Home in Woodland Hills where he lived his last few years. I was a boy of 11 or 12 and huge stooge fan as a kid. Thanks again for the video.
@@FactsVerse I met Moe while I was working at an animation studio in Hollywood. It was the early seventies. Moe was generous with his time and seemed to welcome questions about his career with The Stooges. A memorable afternoon with one of my heroes.
Hello my favorite Stooge is Moe for sure he weas one of the good ones his hitting slapping work is nothing but great m\y favorite sound is the nose honks because it makes me think of a Clown and my favorite word is wise guy eh because as a Canadian I say that word a lot and my brother can be one of those smart guys so you get the skitt
Soo many errors. For one how did Larry's wife help him after his stroke in 1970 when she died in 1967? Most of the info on Curlys wives was wrong too, after that I gave up on this attempted documentary
I liked Shemp, too. All the Stooges were highly emotional, as Jewish people often are, especially the comedians. I say this as a compliment, as it conveys their generally sensitive and compassionate natures. I love that they were generous and contributed to charitable causes.
Curly suffered severe depression. He once said, as he began to realize his mortality due to fading health, "Who wants to live long, anyway?" He was unlucky in love, and his mother contributed to that.
Along with Moe and Larry Curly just kept the laughs going. Shemp was really funny after Curlys departure but Joe Besser as the 3rd stooge just wasn't that funny.
All three were heroin addicts for decades curly also an alcoholic died young after multiple strokes they may have brought last to us but their lives were pure misery
You meant, "they may have brought laughs to us ..." And yes, they were highly emotional and suffered tragedies and also from an overbearing mother. Shemp and Moe had stable marriages, but the other two were unlucky in love and underwent several marriages. I didn't know they were addicted to Heroin! Even Moe? He seemed the least likely to be drug addicted, except for his smoking.
