Respectful? Tell me at 3AM on a Sunday why I can hear zero bass high-pitched 30 second songs blasting out, how is that respectful, doesn't matter what else they do...
Awesome doco skills Uce Gang. It's all fun and games unless this is going on outside your house/apartment block when people are trying to sleep. And, would be good to understand where all the sirens come from. Hopefully not from schools who can't afford to replace them.
@10:55 the burning is not due to overpowering the subs, he needs to tune the amp properly, those subs can handle a LOT more 'clean' power, is likely he has the levels and gains turned up to high on the amp, and is pushing the signal into "clipping" or distortion
@@MrKnightstale fr.. I’m mean I’m not that rich I only have 2 12 inch JBLs that’s worth $500 but I rather tune it to a point where it’s not obliterating my car into pieces and the box itself so I invested in those cheap liumy graphical oscilloscope off trade me! It works perfect and I’ve done some of the boys cars after smelling the burnt toast 🔊😂
I'm a sound guy and everyone gets me to set up there sounds and 99% of people have the gain turned up to the max even though it sounds worse! And btw if you need a visual scope to hear things properly you are in the wrong department! All sounds should be tuned by ear not eye! You don't listen to how nice my paint shines do you!!
Dude I live in town in Wellington and always wondered what this was about, I'll hear some music randomly BLASTING at building before the car goes around the block 😂
I love these uploads. It teaches me so much about the culture in and around South Auckland, which I'm guessing is different from the overall culture of Auckland or at least the other areas in Auckland. Can't wait to visit New Zealand.
Auckland is dangerous, pussies on dirt bikes robbing shops and terrorising people. Go visit the South Island or Northland. Auckland has nothing for you.
@@HandSolitude My bad, I live in the U.S., and I don't know which neighborhood is in the exact location in and around the city. I can't wait to visit :)
This siren shit is cancereous - stealing sirens from schools and other public infrastructure, and keeping people awake at night with random bursts of noise. Surely the community could find a more positive way to express its musical creativity?
Jonah has a mean sound system, think it had the record for loudest in nz.died too young that dude, would have been a great ambassador for Polynesians today
Gotta love it when you get home from a big night out and these blokes park outside your house at 2 am with 50 tsunami sirens attached to their car playing barbie girl 😭
There were lots of guys doing it before Jonah started up. The set up some of these guys had was unreal. A guy I knew had a 88 Mitsi V3000 that was filled with 12 inch subs that took up the whole area of back seat from the floor to the roof. He worked at Boom sounds in Ponsonby in the 90s. The sound would vibrate your house. There was also a guy who had a shitbox of a car but the amount of sound that came out via his stereo system, was mind boggling. Think he had 18s in the back seat.
Good times :) im pleased he was inspired because it was really unfair at the time… jonah won because he had the endless $$$ to pay experts to build his car. Others spent hours installing & fine tuning, should have been a separate category
i hate them lol, most you see driving around have no subwoofer for good bass only treble, like play some drum and bass or something, plus some of them only turn it on right next to you, when you are minding your own businesses its out of no where a loud high pitch sound, scaring me, im down if you have loud music in your car with your windows down or what ever, but no one wants to hear your bad sounding speaker music out side of your car, but i guess it could be worse things out there that they could be doing
@@FvckU_nd.Yo_Grandmadda you have such kind words, love you too bro, god bless you too. if you like that kind of thing, power to you, its just not something i like.
I keep thinking everything you guys do is comedy but this is a different level. Have you seen anything like this anywhere beyond NZ? Anything like this in Hawaii? What wins the battles? Loudest/clarity? It would be cool if something like this was popular in the US and like one guy DJing while somebody else drove... cool video 🤙
Not all of these guys, but some of them steal these sirens from schools, businesses, etc. I've heard of dozens of people around Hendo and Tat been ripped off. At least buy them if you don't want to be hated by half of west Auckland.
You should come and check out the sub and midbox scene. Alot of siren boys are becoming bassheads. Our next LowNSlow meet up is on the 16th of December at Mountford park in Rewa from 5pm its chilled family friendly event
I can appreciate the DJ set up in the boot, playing through a good speaker set up would actually sound good. The problem with this scene is not only is it excessively loud, but it sounds terrible. I get it's a much cheaper way to get attention than a good stereo system, but the general public will never like it. The other problem is a lot of the sirens stolen from schools etc are going onto cars, as people are playing copycat. No hate too people waiting to modify their pride n joy... just understand 90% of people hate the noise sirens makes.
we live 40mins away from palmy in a small town called woodville up here they just amp up the radios lol every now and then you here BOOM BOOM BOOM drive past your house
Was walking home from school one day and my cousin and his mates came up from behind me while I was with my mates and blasted that rick roll sound and we all got the biggest fright but got a free ride out of it so 🤷🏽♀️
What you tokos want to do is tune your music to 528hz it’s high frequency but doesn’t mean the music needs to be high pitch. Put some proper boat speakers on the back of you Ute. Damage the ears with your public announcement speakers.
Im assuming th whole challange is to make a siren speaker sound good? I mean other wise you could just get speakers of a boat Thanks for the look into it uce , keep it up mate 🤘🤠👍
From what I understand it’s about getting as loud as possible without the speakerphones becoming distorted/crackling. And by getting loud as possible is to get all frequencies blended
Siren scene is dope as...uniquely nz Polynesian...everything from the young bros on bikes to the set ups on the cars and song choices is just so unique ..going for loud as highs instead of sub like most car culture...fresh as!!!
