To be honest, if someone showed me the footage of this house without knowing anything about it, I would think it was a rendering and not something that actually existed. Feels a bit like a fairytale house, I love it!
Architects somehow managed to make this house look both rugged/rustic and refined/glamorous at the same time. The outside looks very rustic and despite being new, already feels weathered, which blends it perfectly into its surroundings. But the inside, with that copper fireplace and ceilings that just shimmer with light reflecting from the water makes it very glamorous - I've never seen copper used in such way before. It works really well!
Wow Magnificent - Elegantly integrated into its surroundings. That copper ceiling is a nice vibrant touch to reflect and bring the outside in. Bravo to the architects, and also to the contractors for putting this home together so well.
The house and the site are really beautiful. The peninsula is so low, however, that I would worry, as a homeowner, about storm surges, even though the architects have wisely provided for rain collection and run-off.
I love the home's design. I love how the home is nestled in its environment. I am thankful that the architects have taken into consideration what the area is like during a hurricane and thought about flooding. The interior is beautiful. The wood warms the interior of the home and the use of copper is a beautiful touch. The home is very calming and serene.
Such A BEAUTIFUL HOUSE and wonderfully design with plenty of pocket of light and air/water well to catch the rain water. I hope it is built to test the power of mother nature since the architect mentioned hurricane Katrina so hopefully it survival many more years to come as we headed to climate crisis and rising seawater. It such beautiful place
I wish I could work with you. Really nice project, from spaces to materials, everything is perfectly designed. Congratulations for inspiring high quality architecture.
The use of fasteners that will create staining on the exterior cladding is brilliant. I am a huge fan of this type of approach that considers a sort of evolution over time.
Stunning home, I love the site, architecture and beautiful interior design. I do wonder if it's possible to keep bugs out when the large pocket doors are open.
"A home that has a performance aspect in improving the environment is really important." A well-intended but misleading premise if one builds in natural areas. If nature could speak for itself, the message likely would be that building homes in these fragile areas is not "improving the environment". That said, cool home.
I have seen all the videos in your channel I mean 285 videos exactly and always feels like I'm living that moments in those wonderful houses. Great job guys, great job. Best vibes from Miami, Florida.
Viele natürliche Materialien wurden verwendet, was das Haus mit der Natur ringsherum verbindet. Offen, weitraeumig gemütlich.Ein Rückzugsort von der Hast des Altag's.😊❤
Aaron Weil has a very beautiful voice. 🙂This is interesting, though building on a sandbar might not be a vey good idea. How is it protected from storm surges?
Mustn’t have any insects in that location, as l don’t see any fly screens on this home. Not at all practical. Maybe ok if you like being bitten mosquitos and having flys in your house. It’s disappointing when architects don’t tend to focus enough on making a home really functional. 😢
I'll never understand why anyone would spend the time and money to build a home on a sand bar whose existence is at the whim of the tides, hurricanes, and rising sea levels. Insurance companies are not going to answer desperate calls from the homeowners in a few years. 🤦♀
Not to mention the amount of bugs that must be around all the time here. Open your door or window for a few seconds and I’m sure things start flying in like crazy
All that marsh vegetation draws in mosquitoes, gnats, and other annoying pests unless they're spraying it down with carcinogenic pesticides.@@adronius5273
