So glad you're here for a visit! My name is Calypso and my husband Gus and I would love to welcome you to our little home/cottage in Southern California. We are nestled at the foothills of a small mountain range, and we love it here. We have lived here for almost 2 years this June. We love our home/cottage so much, that we decided to give it a name. We settled on the name of Frau Holle Cottage after German Goddess of Winter. You see.....our first Winter here at Frau Holle Cottage was Magical. We received 3 or 4 days of snow, and everyone said that they had not seen that much snow in 20 years in town. It does snow here but it usually melts quickly. I was thrilled because I adore the season of Winter because for us living in Southern California, snow is a treat.....unless of course you live in the upper mountain communities.

We love this home. We call it our forever home because this is the home we plan to grow old in - or older. We have owned 3 homes before this one. Raised the kids in our previous home and then decided to downsize to a one story. We felt so lucky to find this home because it had everything on our list of things we wanted in our forever home. Now that we have lived here almost 2 years this June, things feel like home. I have enjoyed decorating this home so much. There are still things we would like to do, like new paint and maybe some new carpet later down the road. I have lots of ideas of course for the front and backyard - mostly the backyard. Little by little and it will definitely be a labor of love.
