Hello & Welcome to Frau Holle Cottage.
So glad you're here for a visit! My name is Calypso and my husband Gus and I would love to welcome you to our little home/cottage in Southern California. We are nestled at the foothills of a small mountain range, and we love it here. We have lived here for almost 2 years this June. We love our home/cottage so much, that we decided to give it a name. We settled on the name of Frau Holle Cottage after German Goddess of Winter. You see.....our first Winter here at Frau Holle Cottage was Magical. We received 3 or 4 days of snow, and everyone said that they had not seen that much snow in 20 years in town. It does snow here but it usually melts quickly. I was thrilled because I adore the season of Winter because for us living in Southern California, snow is a treat.....unless of course you live in the upper mountain communities.

== In todays video Gus and I started out the day picking up a free chair that someone listed for free in a local Facebook Group. It was an awesome find. Then we headed out for a little drive and we happen to see some Yard Sale signs at a little Mobile Home park. We met some really nice people there. I met Colleen there and here and I will be meeting for tea this coming Tuesday. Gus and I got a little hungry and so we stopped an ate some yummy Tacos. The taco place has a nice Taco Tuesday and a Taco Thursday. After eating, we headed to this junk yard - recycling - repurposing place where I picked up a nice, galvanized container for flowers. I have plans for the front yard.

Oh my it looks like you had such a great day. I love that you were able to find so many great treasures for free. also that you were able to meet up with a friend and have tea that is so cool! I love your dinner that you made I’m gonna have to try doing that and make the same type of gravy. I’ve just never thought about adding meatballs to it and I’m the same way. I’m not a big red meat fan it upsets my stomach so much. And oh my goodness I can’t believe that decaffeinated coffee is processed with formaldehyde! You’ll have to share with us if you find that decaffeinated that’s processed with water!! ❤❤❤

Calypso I really enjoyed your video. John and I love to go to yard sales plus street finds to use in our gardens and home. I did subscribe. I can’t wait to go back and watch more of your videos. Love the way you rearranged your back deck. I am always moving things around here at our home my husband can never find things because I am constantly moving and changing up things. It just gives it a new look. The bench in the front yard is a score with the bucket can't wait to see what you put in there. I do not eat hamburger meat or steak but the meat ball dish looks really good. Always something to do in the yard being a home owner and this time of the year with gardening is extra. We are just now having the summer hot humid weather kicking in here in N.C. Thanks for putting that info out there about the decaf coffee.
