Less than a week before his wedding, Reliance Industries (RIL) Director and affluent Ambani family's youngest scion, Anant Ambani opens up about his love for wildlife. Anant, who leads the energy arm of RIL, in an exclusive interview with Republic Business gets candid on the holistic well-being of animals, especially conservation and facilitating animals' return to their natural habitat.
The groom-to-be Ambani says Reliance Industries and Reliance Foundation's 'Vantara' (Star of the Forest) initiative, aims to ensure rescue, treatment, care, and rehabilitation of injured, abused, and threatened animals, both in India and abroad.
Vantara is focussed on the conservation of species that are becoming extinct by setting up an endangered animal breeding center, said the Ambani scion. Superspecialised veterinarians and caretakers are driving the personalised care initiative for abused animals, says Ambani.

Some are coming all the way from tripura. far away from their natural habitat. Republic is making a fool of the people and trying to create a false image about the vantara project

Even if the rescue centre turns into business, still if it does good for the wild animals, I am happy for that.Every philanthropic organization, needs huge funds, so having profit avenues is only for the better future.

A commendable passion ! A great satisfaction one gets, by working wholeheartedly in tune with nature and especially, in assisting animals in need ! I have always been rescuing Indies in distress and it nonetheless remains an emotional moment for me, when a once-helpless pup (now in someone's home..), recognizes me in a flash, nearly a decade later, in all joy and exuberance !
