I'm a white guy from the North West of UK - not that colour or nationality should matter - I freaking love this guy. I was lucky enough to see The Wu play at Glastonbury in 2011. Unfortunately INS was not present. Rap is not my first choice of music genre but to me INS stands out as a lyrical genius who does not have the recognition he deserves, which makes him all the more appealing.
I was a fan of Inspectah deck before but found a new level of respect after hearing how real he keeps it in this interview.. This is why Wu-Tang is forever!
Los Angeles Street News Don't forget "C.R.E.A.M.","Duel of the Iron Mic", "Cold World", "Triumph", "Guillotine", "A Better Tomorrow", "Hellz Wind Staff", and his verse on "Above the Clouds".
"I bomb atomically..that means I split atoms nigga." Realest interview ever. Success, the state of hip-hop, priorities. Let em know Deck. WuTang is forever, you see that W, that's that Wu, that's that Wisdom.
Damn a straight up real interview, one of the greatest lyricist to ever pick up the mic!! I love this dude!! They need to do another interview with him !!!
Goddamn I can't believe how underrated this guy is. He is the fucking MAN! All these other rappers (most not all) should get on their knees and kiss the ground that Wu steps on. Is it not strange that people like jz and puff and even 2pac and Biggie constantly received exposure and circulation into the MTVs and the BETs and the radio and basically into our minds, but not never Wu-tang. I was 14 years old when I first came to America, it took 3 years for me to discover Wutang why? that's sickenin
Damn INS nailed some huge topics throughout that interview. I thought i was the only person thinking that this "reality" TV is wack, and that people seem to get laid off months before retirement, and that the new direction of Hip Pop is almost disgusting to listen to; its so fake. I will join him on the front line.
Definitely one of the best interviews I've ever seen. Serious and funny at the same time. I remember my Mom made me read Black Like Me back in '91. That book was bugged out.
I absolutely adore this man!! He's so deep mentally. ❤ I personally stay far away from those reality shows, straight garbage. Any one know If his book is out yet?
The verses this nigga dropped on Triumph and Guillotine Swordz gotta be two of the best lyrics in hip hop history my favorite MC in the WU and a true legend.
"First class, leavin mics wit a cast. Causin ruckus like the aftermath when guns blast. Run fast, here come the verbal assaulter. Rhymes runnin wild like a child in a walker."
Wu Tang, Mo Thugs and Bone Thugs, 2pac/Outlaws, Onyx, Lost Boyz, Slim Thug Boss Hogg Out Laws will always be the greatest rappers and Common Sense.Inspectah Deck you make alot of sense.Wu Tang Forever
Ha...I remember when the Wu Tang did an impromptu visit to NCCU campus back in '94 (during my sophmore year), and while I was walking and making a comment to dorm mates about how much better Meth looked in person, I hear a voice behind me say, "So now we all that?" Ha...Inspectah Deck. I couldn't even say anything. Ha.
If Wu and Bone click up that will be dope because they both groups are knowledge Gods. This music that plays on the radio make people less focused. God groups the best with the best.
It's been 22 long hard yrs of still struggling,Survival got me bugging, but I'm alive on arrival I peep at the shape of the streets and stay awake to the ways of the world cause shit is deep.A man with a dream with plans to make cream which failed;I went to jail at the age of 15.A young buck selling drugs and such who never had much, trying to get a clutch at what I could not touch.
You niggas wanna run up on me for a little $800 Gucci watch. Then you do- feel free nigga. Know what I'm saying? It ain't gone be easy. Cracked my ass off, real nigga.
