Welcome to my third video in this inspection and testing series, where I talk you through how the MFT works, so that you can try to understand testing of R1+R2 resistances.
This will help you know what a good/bad reading is and leads into basic fault finding during this test.
I will go into the different types of fault during later videos within the series, but this should help you build a picture in your mind and as we work through this video series, build on that picture to develop your understanding.
As always, please like, share and subscribe to get this important information out there
Don't forget to look out for the 4th video in this series, which will be on testing of earthing and bonding conductors.
Take care
Adrian

@@Pure_electrical_training Thanks for the link Adrian. Looking forward to when the rest are complete, your level of detail in explaining every detail is second to none.

What happened to your last upload bud? This chanel is very underrated.

Thank you 🙏 The previous upload was a test to gauge where I was in terms of content and delivery, as I had lost my way on the video a bit and wanted some fresh perspective. I had some feedback, which has enabled me to refocus my attention in the correct direction, so I have pulled the video for now, but will release it again when the time is right 🙌

I'm 40 years old, have 2 young kids and a decent job.... but I've wanted to retrain as an electrician for years. I wish it were possible..... but it just isn't an option for me. Over the passed 20 years I've house bashed and worked alongside every trade going.... but my 'career' has always forced me back into work each Monday. These 8500 quid courses are aimed squarely at people in my position.... it seems its the only route people in my boat have. I don't think there is a 4 year part time/night school course available for adults is there?

Night school is available and it’s a much better option. I’ve spoken to so many people on those distance learning courses and most of them are complaining about it. The gaps in their knowledge and training is massive

There must be a college in your region doing evening level 2 and level 3 course mate. I would avoid these short courses at all costs. If you are skilled or experienced these places are great for getting paper accreditations. If you want to learn electrics go to college for a couple years mate.
