what i love about this is Timbo came prepared and did the hard work outside the studio. So when he turnt up he just drinks, eats and dances knowing it's gonna work
My son is four and has been into making songs and "eight bit beats" and when he plays them for me, I channel Timb listening to his own shit every fucking time. It's pride! And well deserved pride at that.
Moses C. I know, i have been making music for 5 years, i know, but music still isn't lyrics! Lyrics is the poetry, combined they form a Musical Artwork
QuadrantBottomHalf. I like how they was fuckin with each other like i know u good but show me tim telling jay he confused knowing he hot then jay tell tim u aint got no bounce nigga just friendly competition
I’ve watched this over. And over. And over again just for Jay’s reaction to that “Dirt Off Your Shoulder” beat. That stank face when you hear something as 🔥 as a Timbo beat. Never gets old.
Timbo seem to do this just to get the first reaction. Watch the samsung commercial when he stops "Holy Grail" just after the beat drops, and where Jay then says "we must have broke the speakers"
The beat is dope as hell and he does things randomly that's why he's one of the best music producers ever!! Just think about he the great artist and chart topping artist he produced starting with Missy Elliot.
Fun Fact! Timbaland eventually gave that first track that was played 0:40 to Brandy. It was featured on her "Afrodisiac" album in 2004. Track 12 titled "Come As You Are". 🔥🔥🔥🔥
@@Broke_buffet but was hot, Jay z went in because he was almost Head of def jam, at the time he was the only big dog at Def Jam, with the right promotion even the wrong song can be right If theres radio play game on lock
Sadly his beats are too out there for today's artists. A lot of them were never get made into songs the best he can do a go J Dilla and make a instrumental album
Ok after rewatching this again, I think Jay-Z is a genius. At 2:22 he was looking at Timbaland and saw Timbaland doing the "dirt of your shoulder" type of motion and probably came up with the whole theme of the song right there and then. Crazy.
You can see the moment it all just clicks with jay z when he sees timbo do that and his brain starts moving at a million miles per hour creating the whole song in his head
Dato Mindiashvili dr dre is not even close to Timbaland on beat making. Dr dre is a great producer for discovering talent and a great business man he is. He is not an innovator like timbo is. Dre is a fantastic mixer also. What he has done for hip hop is phenomenal. Timbo takes my vote and actually both Kanye west and jay z have said timbaland is the best most versatile producer of all time!
They way jay's shouldas instantly started bouncin , at 2.05 was priceless.his body had an unctrollable twitch as the beat dropped , friggin classic ..😀😁😂
Timberland is a genius that beat is original and one of a kind and then for Jay to put lyrics to it is another genius doing what he does when you put it together it's incredible
Jay Z is a cyborg. The man’s whole face changed when that song hit. And the fact he doesn’t write is just insane. I wish there were more videos Of him in the booth.
Timbo telling Hov to show him something after Hov asked him first 😂😂 that’s greatness and knowing your craft will hold its own. Also I’ve always loved the brandy instrumental timbo plays first and makes that face and moves his fingers lol
I dunno what's more amazing - this selection of beats for sale or the fact Jay-Z skipped The Potion for Dirt Off Your Shoulder. Potion is one of Timbo's sickets ever beats!
Pure. Artistry. The dope part about this moment is our perception. We hear this knowing the song as it is now. That playback we hear in our heads, thats what these guys hear before it exists. 🤯🤯🤯 This decimated all. Such a perfect moment to to capture.
This makes me wanna get back in the booth. The joy of making music and everyone nodding their heads to the bars after they hear you rap it and you being an artist jumping in the booth expressing your pain on the mic and coming out the sh** asking how I sound and everyone saying nah you bodied that and you finally going to the block to let everyone hear it is something amazing.
@ginga2122 Its a slang term. bouncing to the music = shaking / dancing to the beat / feeling the beat. when he said "the bounce coming up" he meant "the banger comes next". when people say to you, they were bouncing in the club they mean they were heavily dancing and had a good time. also meaning the music slayed :)
