Barney Williams, when Oxford President, made his crew watch this... it inspired them to victory in bad weather... come on my mighty mighty Dark Blues... with you every stroke of the way... give em hell tomorrow :-)
We listened to this the evening before racing at BUCS regatta. Got us well psyched. Flew to the final, were gaining fast on the leading crew in the last 500 then our no.7 caught a crab.... The WORST moment of my rowing career! Still bagged a bronze. But that's not gold.
@monkywars actually it depends on the boat and the race type, a sprint { spring races } are between 4 and 8 but in the fall its between 10 and 20 depending on the boat water and coarse length.
my race is in 2 days....so im building up my motivation and getting all pumped up :) ..its just a little depressing to think that this speech is actually for football, not rowing :(
hi, joining a rowing team soon and was just wondering how crucial is height? Thought I would ask people who have rowing experience. I'm 6 foot, is that gunna limit my ability to be competitive or is stuff like muscle endurance more important? Thanks to anyone that responds :)
@monkywars English translation: No dude jesus christ, I was just saying it sucks that this is from a football movie...Wow, and just so you know a race is not 10 minutes so it's not the longest 10 minutes, its like 5.... So mayyyybe you should learn a little (about rowing)
@monkywars yea tell me that the longest race is 10 minutes when im about to row in the british schools head of the themes race which is 7K so maby you should learn a little!
