I am sure this is sodium poly-acrylate, just wanted to know if this can be re used to do the experiment again? As in is it a reversible reaction? if so how can we reverse it? please advice.

I have a friend who likes to put salt in his water and when grabbed those by accident (I had it in a test tube idk whybhe did that) then his water bottle popped and I say there and lauhged

There are other companies that claim their product makes snow in seconds, just be carful for cheap knock offs that don't do what they are supposed to.

Hi Steve - is the reaction endothermic so it actually gets cold like snow too, or is it more like micro dots of absorbant Styrofoam?

It's more like dots, it can be made cold, but normally it'ss not...skii resorts will use it when we don't have a good snow in Colorado. :3

Something that resembles it. Real snow is when water freezes in a certain pattern (snowflakes), whereas this is a kind of salt that appears to expand when in contact with water.

Just buy a pack of period pads, take the padding inside and add water you get the same effect , its very absorbing thats why its used in pads, diapers , to catch most of the flow !

I don't know what talcum powder is, but this is exactly the same stuff that you find in baby diapers, so it's still possible to get.

He's right, this is found in pamper diapers. I don't know about Huggies. But they put this stuff inside the diaper so when the baby pees a lot, it absorbs and expand. That's why you have super absorbent diapers. This is how the manufacturers develop ways to make diapers last longer so the parent doesn't have to change it so often. Isn't that cool? Yeah but if it's poop then what? LOL!

Yes; sodium polyacrylate is the stuff in a baby's diaper, also the stuff marketed as "squishy baffs."

Shes hosting a show she has to ask questions...... Lets do an experiment and not explain what were doing. 2. Shes only got so much time so her seeming annoyed is her saying common lets get all the experiments done before the show ends and 3. I would be scared too if someone was doing experiments and not explaining them....
