Such amazing footage from Maui Looks like fun Thank you for sharing an excellent detailed review Considering this new camera Indeed need something easy with not a lot of color grading
Great video, as always . I'm glad I didn't wait for it. I got the DJI Action5 pro and now I'm even more convinced I made the correct choice for what I do. None the less a great camera as well. Cheers 🍻
Nope. They’re bucking the trend of going 10-bit by adding in the Pro Imaging chip and working to nail the footage in camera. The idea is basically that 99% of people don’t get any benefit out of 10-bit, but just the downfalls of larger files sizes and more compression resulting in longer editing times chugging down your computer. If you’re that 1% that wants to really push your footage around in post, you’ll probably want 10-bit, but for the other 99% of people, getting it right in camera makes the most sense
Trying to decide which of the new action cameras will replace my GoPro 10 for family travel and adventure vlogging. I’m leaning towards the GP13 because I’m more familiar with the tech, but I’m also looking forward to learning more about the Ace Pro 2 before making up my mind. I really appreciate your travel video since it’s in the same ballpark as what I’ll be filming.
For family travel and adventure, i would imagine indoor filming and nighttime filming is quite regular, action 5 pro and ace pro 2 would both be in another league in terms of low light capabilities. That said, you have to pick the camera base on your actual need.
Footage is gorgeous. I have the go 3s and am always impressed with the footage out of camera. However the DJI Action 5 wins for me because of the mic connection with DJI mic 2.
@@DavidManningvlog Using an action cam for back up 4k 60 footage of hour long volleyball games, 3 in a day. Some of these venues played in are terribly lit, but for the most part, pretty decent lighting just artificial. I honestly probably would never punch all the way in to 2X but with the Action 5 you lose quality very quickly the minute you digital zoom. For my use case, that is where all these cameras fall short. An iPhone is still the Goat for this sort of recording, which we use, but it’s nice to have a redundancy as well. That’s why battery life is important too. I can record 3 hour long matches in day now with the Action 5. I could power bank the Ace2 but nice if so don’t have to. Guess I’m going to have to just buy one and test it.
When dji osmo action 5 came u reviewed it against action 4 when ace pro 2 came they been told do not refer against ace pro 1😂as they release bad firmware for ace pro 1 to show difference
I’m confused. You think Insta doesn’t want people comparing it to the Ace Pro 1? Of course they want people to know their new camera is better than their old camera! That’s legit any company’s business model
@@KriticullCTRL I know ask because I'm under my return window for the op3 since I didn't open yet (plus it's Costco) and I'd like to see what it looks like in low light vs op3 in the same scene. See if its actually close to it so I won't feel bad for returning it (if I do). Can only afford one.
It’s funny how the main slogan of insta360 says “the real pro” and yet they don’t have 10bit video, and the image quality is far from good… Sorry but DJI wins this round ;)
Meh. Depends on what you need. I actually like this camera for the front facing screen. Don't really care about 10-bit and the quality is good enough. If you're really being nit picky, sure, image quality isn't the greatest. You sound like someone who wants the best and looks too deep into things, when no one else is really going to care.
@@KriticullCTRL i color grade my action cam footage and the lack of 10bit video is really disappointing. The D-log M on DJI is one of the easiest log formats for grading and produces very good image quality.
@@isavkovare posting same comment under each insta360 pro2 video???😂 regular user do not need 10 bit. Many people doesn’t color grade they videos. So take it easy, stick with what u have.
