I watched some comparison videos I have to say that the Ace Pro has a nice picture But ! The faces and the color environment often seem a bit exaggerated Faces in particular often appear orange The action 4 has the Log M color material which I think is great I also like the normal color profile of the Action 4 better looks more natural and if I need more contrast or exposure then I use my cutting program For the low light area I used the Pocket 8 which is better than the Ace Pro. The Ace Pro looks clearer in the log range than the Avtion 4 but it loses in comparison to the Pocket 3 The ace pro gave me too strong a green cast in many scenes. With the pocket, the colors are nicer in the dark but the pocket is not an action cam either It's a good camera, no question but I am very satisfied with the Osmo 4 Thanks for this great video
Hello I just subscribed your channel :))) Thank you very much for nice shots and good energy. I would like to buy Insta360 Ace Pro for my Angel Garden Vlogs. My Autum Garden is in full bloom and we're excited to share it with you as we take you on a virtual tour of flower garden! # angelgardenvlog
Both cameras are great, but I still will choose Action 4. I don't care about the flip-up screen, but I do care for the 10bit video, which Ace pro doesn't has.
@@sebw3964 yeah, but they didn’t mention any future for 10bit updates. And DJI were very clear about when to expect the 10bit update, and we’ve got it.
Both are great, action 4 is more cinematic and colours are better for me. Ace pro is 2 sharp and contrasty for me, i think flip screen is not good for action camera, it will loose some day. Action 4 has front screen where you can see everything. It really depends on your preferences.
I think the flip screen is a great idea and was designed for low angle shooting, ie. shooting ground level for skateboarding or RC cars and the obvious for vlogging, I agree as appose to how durable that hinge is, for me, I likely won't use the flip screen that much, not a deal breaker for me. A lot of ppl are complaining how do you frame your shot, well, a couple of things, first, we've lived with actioncams without front screens for years and years, we still got great shot, 2nd, actioncams have a much wider/taller FOV, if you can't get your face in there somewhere then you might want to stick with a cam with a front screen lol with GP's 5.3 and AP's free video, this allows us to custom crop horizontal and vertical footage. Again, not a deal breaker for ME.
Every review about this camera has an affiliate link on the description… whats make me doubt about if it’s a honestly review or just trying to make us buying to get they commission 👀
What I like about this Ace Pro: Memory album - with AI Highlight to create fast video clips, Instant Delete, Add stats to your video (speed, distance, Slope, location), Excellent Night shot, wrist monitor/preview in real-time, Impressive AI tech (game charger!), and of course the prestige Leica lens!! Accessories: Quick Reader $70 Multi Mount $41 Quick Release Mount $35 Power charging station $50 Battery $35 Wrist watch/monitor $?? Can easily add over $200 on top of the basic package of Ace Pro!! At this point, the DJI Action 4 Adventure pack seems like a great deal! Battery run time 100 mins. In actual, if you use the flip screen/live view a lot, I'm pretty sure the run time will be much much lower.
When having a watch repaired recently I was told that a 10m depth rating doesn't actually mean you can go to 10m. Apparently a swimmer can generate the same pressure as 20m depth when impacting the water surface. Watches rated 20m or over can actually be submerged- anything less is basically just splash proof and will survive a rainy day. I hope the 10m rating on this camera means it can actually go underwater to a reasonable depth.
I think the new Ace Pro has packed a lot of features that make it very easy to use for most, especially if the consumer wants an action cam to perform other tasks such as vlogging and low light footage capture. For me though, I prefer picking better tools for specific jobs... for pure action cam usage right now, I would have to go OA4. For durability and reliability standpoints, the flip screen and non-removable lens cover have a big chance of rendering your camera unusable. From several video comparisons, including this one, the colors seem weird in certain shots coming out of the Ace Pro and think the OA4's colors look more natural.
How can you say it is built like a tank with non removable lens and a flip screen you can never use safely as it will 100% break on impact? It is for sure a very good Vlogging camera but nowhere near in terms of "action" to GoPro or DJI. One big disadvantage may also be that you might never be able to use any kind of cage for the insta360, thus not having any cold-shoe mounting possibility. People always kind of only see the advantages in picture quality but oversee for what purpose those kind of cameras were usually made for (action!)
luckily I didn't need to but just to remind you of the big shitstorm the GoPro 8 got for this. I am sure there is a reason why GoPro came back to the removable lens cover, was it either customer complaints or unlucrative repair costs. In no way I want to say the new insta360 model is bad, just wanted to point out that you really have to think of what you need and except from an *action* camera where there are actually 2 major components that might break very easily (not even to mention dust, sand or whatever sitting between the flipping screen). My guess is, that especially DJI and maybe even GoPro will soon also put AI chips into their cameras as well so Kudos to insta360 being innovative here 🙂 But I agree with you - it is def. the best Vlogging camera now and even better than the Pocket 3 @@ZanderRound
@@LetsGoHelio proved wrong multiple times, google it. only models for showcases to youtubers had this feature but they will remove it for regular production god knows why
It's a real shame that the Insta360 Ace Pro doesn't have a 1/4" mount inside its magnetic mount, because many people don't want to begin a third mounting system. I have a dozen DJI magnetic mounts, and don't want to start over. To GoPro's credit, they did at least put a quarter inch mount underneath their Hero 12. I don't know if Ulanzi can make a metal cage for the Ace Pro that includes a quarter inch mount underneath and also accommodates for the flip up screen with protection.
Will you compare the photo quality / video quality of Ace Pro and One R (with Leica One inch 2D camera, not 360 camera) in your next review ? Both are Insta360 product, both are Leica lens, both are 2D camera (not 360 camera) The old camera is one inch big sensor while the new camera is 1/1.3 small sensor with Purevideo technology
I wish that little front screen could be used as your view screen, flipping that big screen is annoying when you are vlogging cause you go back and forward on filming yourself and the surrounding
Okay, so you are getting paid by insta360... The sensor in both cameras is exacly the same. They both zoom in the exact same way. The only difference is, that the insta360 allows to capture in 8K at 25 fps. But you will not have HDR, stabilization or any other feature that enhances the image. The osmo 4 just does not allow 8k, because the good experience will be gone.
DJI's best feature is the colour sensor for me.. wish the Ace pro brought that over. on the ace pro all the faces are red, blacks arent black, but instead a redish tint.
Did you mention that in Insta it is not possible to replace the lens cover? for a bicycle, motorcycle or other hobby of this type, I wouldn't use this camera because of rocks, bugs, bushes or anything that might scratch the cover.
I’ve had every GoPro since the 1 and never had to replace a lens guard, if for any reason you so damage it insta are replacing it for free during the first year 👌
New king of action cameras, smoked the action 4 in lowlight in this comparison and then blowed out of the water Gopro 12 in the other comparison, good job Zander
This is the most complete action camera to date, I’ve been blown away by the quality, especially in low light! Grab yours here and get a free T-shirt! - www.insta360.com/sal/ace-pro?insrc=INRGU2R (Affiliate link)
Maybe you need make a update review, i just saw a video comparison of the same brand and model, the ace pro does really bad for vlogging or any thing filmed at close up, skin tone pretty bad, over exaggerated sharpness and unnatural, i hope you can check and verify, thanks
0-80% for Ace Pro is 22 minutes, not 16 minutes. Just wanted to contribute. Also, all the colors have the same issue, it seems, that I had on my Go2, it's super vivid and not color accurate at all.
hello zander i want to ask you that if the ac pro could fit in a jeanz pocket or not and that if it could be used as a personal camera in a pocket or not
Just to add that Insta360 studio has been updated as well if you're not a fan of editing on your phone/tablet. Something I've not seen is can you use the ace pro and ace as webcams?
Hi, I have a question. Gopro 12 has a feature where you can film in full mode. Then in gopros edit software you can instantly switch that footage to vertical. Does the ace pro editing software have the same thing? Or do you have to physically turn the ace sidwways and film for vertical?
Two very different devices with similar specs, it really depends what you are using it for, the AC is great for both action and travel/ adventure vids, pocket 3 would be for more cinematic filming, it’s hard to choose but because of the weatherproof design of the Ace Pro I’d say that one!
Great review ,, I need an upgrade and looking at the 360 can you tell me If it’s waterproof and how the microphone stacks up in windy conditions ? I video my self and finds in the field metal detecting , Many thanks in advance of any answers
@@ZanderRound Thank you so much for the quick reply , Being weather / waterproof makes life so Much easier , Being out in fields the wind very often creates havoc with the sound so I’ll look forward to seeing how this 360 performs and your next video , thanks again
You are telling the truth 😂 I own a GoPro 12 for awhile and it looks so bad in low light 😅 finally someone is producing a good low light image quality camera
The purevideo Mode in the Ace Pro sets a new benchmark, and its low-light performance is really impressive! It's definitely giving tough competition to the Action 4
I literally ordered my Action 4, 2 days ago and canceled my order as soon as I heard about the Ace Pro coming out. Great comparison. I heard that DJI Action 4 is tad bit wider. Is it true? The FOV on Action 4 is 155 degrees. Do you know how much could that be for the Ace Pro? Cheers!
