It is now March 2023. The EVO may have been the best 3D camera in 2019, but this camera is no longer around unless you might find a used one or on Ebay. All the Insta360 cameras now are all full 360 view type cameras with the lenses placed back to back. None have the option to move both lenses in the same direction. We can have just one lens turned on with certain models. So things have changed with Insta360 cameras. Thanks for the video and take care.
Nice review, entertaining and informative. Loved the brief comparisons with prior VR180 cameras. It would be helpful if you did a sequel video covering steps in post and upload. Faces were sometimes blurry on the gondola shots but I’m thinking 🤔 that was either due to low light or maybe youtube res limit. Might Veer offer higher res viewing? These are topics to cover in a Post-focused video. It’d also be worth covering the mic/sound. Binaural would add a lot. Thanks again for fine work!
RU-vid has been having issues with VR180 recently. VeeR is better and I'll repost there later today. I will definitely create a post-focused video on Evo. I think the mic is pretty good. I include the Godfather song which was all recorded with the in camera mic.
Agree 100%, You either have to build a rig or spend 3K on a K1Pro to get better 180 VR 3D quality and like you said those solutions are huge and no stabilization. The 360 has awesome quality as well but is hampered by the horrible stitching. I also used the Lenovo first and going to Evo was like night and day. My customers love the results, I always use a Tascam for sound but I found the sound in the EVO to be acceptable as backup audio if my Tascam fails
They need to enable turning off the lights, otherwise good luck filming where there are reflections. In darker settings you can even see the lights in your shot sometimes. And that plastic click of the shutter button is a little annoying but can be edited out. Otherwise I agree, it's a great little camera. Color and stabilization are good. Love the compact size too.
