This is the BEST 180 3d VR camera under $3000.00 IMHO and it is only $400. The thing that they failed on is the 360 mode, everything from the wonky folding mechanism to the horrible stitching related to the wonky folding mech and a few other issues. I also do not like the Image stabilization as it introduces a weird blur or warp, not sure what to call it. pair this camera with a gimbal and you will have a GREAT 180 3D setup. Again the 360 mode is OK but only buy this if 180 3D is your main goal. I bought this for 180 3D shooting indoors mostly and I use another camera for 360 the few times I need that.
^ What he said. We got enough 360 cams. We need more recreational 180 (and 360) 3D VR sport cams in the market. 360 2D is _not_ VR video. It's just 360 video.
Just got the EVO, I do have the r and X. Are you aware of a site to post your 180 3D images to share with others? I seen not been able to find one. Thank you and keep up the great reviews.
Strange, my EVO does not have half such sticking problems as you show, even when the object is much closer. Did you really fully open and lock it in 360 mode? I have the ONE-X and the EVO and I'm really surprised how much better the 360 mode of the EVO is than I thought. But when I see, how you always keep your face direct in the stitching line without any calibration before, then I don't believe you wanted to show a good result.
good info but like all other reviews that I've seen there is no mention of the difficulties of connecting to an Android phone and you can call me stupid as I went and bought an Evo 360 and found out afterward that he camera is mainly meant for the iPhone although it does connect to an android but not wifi. Saying that it is a great little camera but the Andriod issue needs to be addressed.
marklola12 plus just like their other camera it has the dual lens exposure problem, each lens does a different exposure and you can see it in many videos
