Insta360 Go 3 vs X3: Why I Was SHOCKED

Great video! I thought it was one of my many EUC video channels I subbed to. I didn’t realize it was your channel (subbed long ago) until you started talking. I loved the comparison between the X3 and the Go3. I have an X2 and Go2 for now. I do like the portability of the Go2 and don’t see the need to get the Go3 since it is now so much bigger with the added GoPro like shell. Is that the Commander Pro? It’s got enough realty on the top for a seat. Have safe rides, Bro!

Interesting comparison, and you got the results I would have expected. Until consumer 360 cameras can move past the 5.7k resolution limit, the reframed video will always look like 1080p video. Great video Mic, thanks for sharing.

Nice video Mic! I wonder how X3 would compare in single lens mode, which converts the video to 4K in one direction only. I remember when i first tested it, it produced higher quality than expected :)

Good comparison, but it is comparing apples and oranges. the X3 is only outputting 1080p once reframed. So it is to be expected to have lower output. But that being said, I have seen comparisons with 4k X3 vs 2.7k go 3 and the does seem to be a quality issue. For me each has its use case. I do think it may become a good replacement for a gopro. However, I still think the DJI Action 3 is better value for money. Not sure what I will buy for a dedicated camera. Go 3, small and pertable. DJI Action 3 external Mic support and 4k, but larger form factor. Great review. food for thought.

Thank you for making this important and useful video. To me, both are useful - like a spoon and a fork- and depends on your need. I will get a Go3 first and X3 later. Please be careful when recording on public streets, esp around "stop" signs.

I have an X2 (rather than an X3), and I was surprised when using it in conjunction with the Go 3 on a series of motorcycle videos: the Go 3 holds up nicely against the X2. You can't beat the 360 features of the X2 for getting pans and rotations, but the Go 3 is fast and easy to go from shooting to final results. I don't see that the Go 3 will replace my X2, but it is a nice addition. Thanks for the video.

It is nice such thing to have camera without much attention in crowd place and also magnetic and tiny . Can’t still think how cool engendering in insta 360 and make such products ) love company )

Nice video, as always !! One question: Is it possible to reframe the clips recorded with the GO3? I have two insta360 X2, one of them with a damaged lens, and I use it on a chest mount with the healthy lens facing forward...... that way I am able do some reframing, and get some cool shots, much better than a regular action cam placed on a chest mount. Could the GO3 do the job ?? if so I might consider getting the GO3 I'd trully appreciate your answer PS: I have plenty of videos using my 360 cameras at my channel. idk how i feel abt the storage options on the go3. can many videos can it really hold?? i like how i can just add an SD card to the x3. for basically unlimited storage. if im on a trip with no wifi. Can i still download the videos from the go3 to my phone/ipad so i can make space for new videos??

If someone build synchronized stereo mount for two Go that could be cool.

I love my Go 3 and I use 2.7k even on my expensive mirrorless cameras. I think 2.7K is a sweet spot for video.

Hello im torn between this two. Im looking for camera for non photographer just to capture family moments and easy to use.

This is why I didnt jump on the X3...It's IQ is only a tad better than my X2. If the X3 used the 360 1" Edition's lens' and had the same or better IQ, then it I would have already jumped on the X3 as I love the form factor.

Wow, this video really suppresses me!!... I lost my Go2 and have been waiting for the Go3, sadly I was disappointed, but not why you might think... While this has not been mentioned (at least not that I have seen) my disappointment lies within the loss of the mission statement behind the "GO" series... It was designed to be a small, unobtrusive, go and take anywhere camera that you can put in your pocket and that is why I loved it even over my one x.. While insta may have improved the cameras shortcomings they killed what they marketed it for.. It now has a big bulky obtrusive housing that can no longer fit in your pocket AND does not protect the camera when in your pocket with car keys etc.. What were they thinking??? I don't need a worthless screen to adjust the settings, insta went from a unique product to now having to compete again with a go pro which has much better resolution and is not much different in size with the worthless case.. I was then thinking I would just upgrade to the X3 as it is only pennies more, but this video just put that on pause for me too!!! That said, I do think this video is a bit deceptive as the x3 shoots in 4k with one lens, so that should have been the comparison...unless I missed something here..?

It doesnt surprise me that the go3 beats the x3 video quality. Its still fitting more pixels per degree. I dont underatand the go3 pricing though. Its basically the same price as the hero 11 but the gopro has better video quality.

I was interested in the Go 3 until I saw your initial video showing it had awful mushy compression in lower light environments. Plus the stabilisation wasn't as good as the Go 2. If they address those things in an update I'll get one. Also, in this video I think the X3 footage has better color.

Come on this is missleading, first you told me the Go3 was not the big thing, and now you tell me is better than the x3,.What about the features? because they are completely different cameras for different uses and target users

Sooo.go 3 is NOT a 360 camera...A camera with the name 360 in it being reviewed by a channel with the name 360 in it..being compared to a 360 camera, being used as a framed regular camera.....Something is not right here.

Of course Go 3 would be more detailed because you shot the X3 in 360 mode. Try it on single lens mode and the X3 should be much better than Go 3.
