You are very welcome. It keeps you from having to remove your memory card if you want to edit your videos without going wireless. I use mine Everytime I edit my videos.

No. The quick reader does not have internal storage. You have to put an SD Card in the quick reader. If you record a video with your X4 and then plug in your quick reader (with an SD card installed), you will not be able to transfer the videoa you recorded with your X4 from the camera to the quick reader unless you ... 1. Connect the quick reader and your x4 to a computer and manually transfer the videos from the camera to the quick reader 2. When finish recording the videos from your x4, take the SD card out of your Camera and insert it into the quick reader and then edit your videos using the quick reader. Wbat I do is, I'll record videos with my X4 (without the quick reader). When I am done with my recordings, I'll take the SD card out of my camera, put it in the quick reader and then connect the quick reader to my tablet and edit the videos this way.

No. You have to take the memory card out of the quick reader in order to get your footage into the quick reader. Remember the quick reader doesn't have any internal storage. You have to have a memory card installed inside of the quick reader. Another option is to connect your camera and quick reader to your computer/laptop and maybe you could manually transfer your files from your camera's memory card to the memory card you have inside of the quick reader.

@@akimdanial you can get the video from our camera to your phone without the quick reader. You only need to download the app and follow the instructions on how to connect your camera to your phone wirelessly. The quick reader works in two ways. 1. You put your SD card into the quick reader and then connect your quick reader to your camera with the USB-C port. When you use the quick reader like this, the video will save onto the SD card inside of the quick reader. 2. After you record the videos into the quick reader, you can disconnect the quick reader from your camera and connect it to your phone. After you connect the quick reader to your phone, your phone will ask you if you want it to open the insta360 app so it could find the files. After your first time doing this, the app will ask you what folder do you want it to look in for your videos so you will need to select that folder. After that, you should be able to do quick edits with the insta360 app and then export the videos you've edited into your phone's internal memory.

@@Jonasegway so basically just the same the way i connect the camera to phone wirelessly right? But with quick reader, the camera no need to connect wirelessly & save some battery. Right?

So If you think you will store your camera in a bag with other equipment, I would say get the screen protector. If not just at least get the lens silicone cover. I have both because I have cracked two GoPro screens while being stored in a crowded camera gear bag
