Today we are bombarded with the X4 videos from, sadly, it's always the same people reviewing your cameras. I am a Insta360 user (Ace Pro and GO) and love them both. How about some small channels getting a camera to review when the new products come out? (Along with the same people getting the reviews, just saying)

Great review. You touched on major points that I didn't see other reviewers discussed. DJI Mic bluetooth compatibility, 4K output from the app. But i have so many accessories and batteries from the X3 that are not compatible.😢
Thank you! Yes, the accessory incompatibility is unfortunate. I get it that the additional innovations of this camera require new, revamped accessories but it is unfortunate that very few older ones are compatible other than ones like selfie sticks and a few others.
This is correct. No live-streaming capabilities on the X4, currently. Considering the X3 had this capability I expect Insta360 will enable this via a firmware update later on. Perhaps Insta360 is working on optimizing this function or offering new capabilities with it that need a bit more fine tuning before enabling this capability.
Yes, it sure does. I mention this in the audio section of this video. It’s great to be able to pair it via Bluetooth and not need to physically connect a mic.
Yes, it does have fast charging for the massive 2,290 mAh battery. These are the charging times: Charge to 80% in 38 minutes (9V 2A) Charge to 100% 55 minutes (9V 2A) Yes, the X4 has a Log color profile which is great for grading later on.
The 8K footage looks really good. When I compare this to the 5.7K X3 footage after it is reframed to 4K, the X4 footage looks a lot better as reframed 4K footage.
Easy pass for me. Video quality is not as good as my Action 4. Plus, I don't like the protruding lens on these. I do like the Motion ND feature. DJI needs that on the Action cam.
I love my Action 4 as well but my Action 4 can’t capture footage in the same way I can capture it with the X4 due to the X4 being a 360 degree camera. There are adventures where I bring along my Action 4 but there are also plenty of adventures where I bring along the 360 degree camera. Or as I call it - my film crew 😂
I export the reframed clips as 4K (3840 x 2160). All samples in this video including the video footage, timelapse, timeshift, etc was exported in 4K resolution.
Great question. I don’t have any insight into what GoPro is doing with the rumored Max 2, but if GoPro wants to continue to compete they are going to have to offer innovation.
Insta360 makes a motorcycle clamp which is a great way to mount these cameras on a bike. Yes, the advantage of the X4 is one can get a third-person perspective of one riding a bike and reframe the scene.
