"For the rest of us--little people, we need to do everything we can with what we are given." I love this one so much. Not everyone is born with the same opportunities but hardwork beats talent everytime 💪🏻 I hope that the little person reading this will achieve their success one day. Hoping and praying for all of us 🙏🏻
Your videos have so👏🏽 much👏🏽 value👏🏽! And the flow? without ads at the very beginning? It leading me to continue through with the auto-play directly to the next video. Man, you are such a rockstar! Thank you for giving us all this crazy amazing info for free. I truly appreciated how much work you've put into this series!
Thanks again Mei. I am learning a ton about online marketing from your presentations. I’ve been working on my store for six months now and plan to go online in time for the holidays. You are helping me avoid mistakes I never considered. I appreciate the time and effort you put into your work.
I have commented this statement before a while back but I want to do it again. "You are absolutely wonderful and it's hard for me to wrap my head around how awesome your videos are and what a fantastic resource you have been for me HANGTAG LOL 'a little slice of heaven' Thank you Ron
You should try and follow accounts that would fall into the target audience of your business and other makers of your niche or other niches, and then like and comment on their posts genuinely.
So glad I subbed today. You're advice is so vivid. I am doing most of those things so I didn't realize I was on a roll but I need consistency. You helped me see something.. yesterday and today when I posted .. I literally saw I gained 2 more followers so I just need consistency and the organic pics mixed with different hues/ filters I use. And I keep my business pg according to my brand when I post. I usually get stuff geared to my business pg but I see I get random personal stuff so I will do better at what I pick on my business pg to view. Love you. Thanks so much. Helped me allot
That's great, Marvina! I'm so glad this video is helping you, and congrats on gaining new followers! Consistency is definitely key, and I hope you keep growing!

It depends on what you are making and who your target market would be. One suggestion I would make it to look at hashtags that others in your niche are using and see how they work for you.
Creative Hive thanks so much and I make crochet and lipgloss. All your videos are amazing I can’t imagine how my business would go if I never found you💝.
Thank you so much Mei for all this advice and work. I just started my small business and all the advice I've followed has worked to get more views on my etsy shop.
You're amazing. Ive been watching your videos for almost a year now, getting all the knowledge I can. Im coming up to my opportunity to start my business and you've given me the know how to have to confidence to get out there and do my thing!
Wow, this is so amazing! I am so honored to be included in your business preparation, and I'm so excited for you to get your business off the ground. Good luck with your launch!
Great video, I will definitely take into account all your tips! Now, something I've seen quite often is that some/most people never include the price of the items in their posts and the comments they get are of people asking for the price of the product, and the author only replies with "DM" as if it was a secret, what do you think about that? Is there a reason for it? I personally find it annoying but maybe it's some strategy that I'm unaware of, what do you think?
It may be that they don't want to advertise the price publicly, it may be that they want to be able to get into a discussion with someone who's interested in the product to try and pitch it to them, it could even be a way for them to test out pricing or see the popularity of an item.
Superb advice! And hey, some really excellent points in which we all certainly could pause, consider and perhaps redo in order to improve (I know I sure have more than enough room for improvement). Thank you, Mei(:
Absolutely, Laurie! I think good business people are constantly learning and growing, reflecting and thinking, and making changes. Otherwise you get stuck in a rut!
Thank you so much for watching!! You got this Cheryl! ❤️ In case you're interested, I have a free workshop where I talked about ways on how you can scale your handmade business online without relying on social media. Here's the link to register: bit.ly/3EGGC47 Hope to see you there! I wish you and your business all the best!! ❤️
It depends on your niche or specific product. Tagfinder.com and Best-Hashtags.com can help. Google "Good Instagram Tags for Goth" for the Goth merchandise niche, for example.
You can use smaller creative hashtags that don't get as many hits. For example, right now #soycandles has 1.5M posts! But #soycandle only has 570K. #soycandlemaking has 8200 posts, and #soycandlebusiness has 1900. They are all in the same creative niche but get a different range of hits.
How do you introduce products into your posts when you decide to open up a shop? My page doesn't originally start as a product page so I'm trying to figure out the best way to post about products
You can delete posts that are no longer relevant if you'd like to streamline it to a business account, and then honestly, you just start posting products! You can talk about how this is going to be your new thing, how you decided to do this, behind the scenes posts, and so on. Think of it as a mini journal of your business.
Hey hun, Ive really seen a difference in my social media with all your tips so thank you so much for that. what hastag is too small and what is a mid hashtag? x x x
Like I mentioned, mid-size would be 1000-30000 uses. This helps keep them from being buried. For example, right now #soycandles has 1.5M posts! But #soycandle only has 570K. #soycandlemaking has 8200 posts, and #soycandlebusiness has 1900. They are all in the same creative niche but get a different range of hits.
Hi Tina! Great question! You can check out my blog here for some guide: www.creativehiveco.com/instagram-marketing-for-handmade-business/ Hope that helps! Good luck!! ❤️
I love your videos! Just started a small business and your videos and advice have helped so much. Question how do you find out what to price your handmade products?

Hi mei I have a doubt..lets say I make jewellery but one post is of a normal one and the next is of a dog one.. for the dog one I need to attract dog lovers.. how do I do that without looking messy to insta?
Hi Mei, thanks so much for this video! I have been hash tagging my art with #art #mixedmedia #abstractart etc. ... and exactly what you said is happening...only other artists responding! I am a bit lost as to what to use instead. I have been trying #interiors #homedecor etc ... Hoping you can please help?
so I have an account from a while ago that has around 1500 followers and I was going to use it for my business account since I’ve always used my other account as my personal. Do you suggest I make a new one? Or is it okay to use that old one? With the algorithm and everything... would it be all messed up and confused?
Also thank you for making these videos!! You’ve really given me something to lean on regarding my business and the info I didn’t even know I needed!! I’m starting today and getting all my products in the mail with much more confidence than when I’ve attempted to start in the past ❤️
Thanks so much for your comments, Lilyana! For the IG account, if it's an older one, you could absolutely use it and the built-in audience that's there already. You can change the name if you need to, and you can also do an announcement post on the update if you want to.
LOVE your videos BUT would love if they were just a tad bit shorter. I’ve had to fast forward too many times bc it gets boring after a certain time frame. Please continue doing awesome videos but shorter ☺️
Sucks when someone else has your name but it's a used account 😕 I used it and then added gifts to then end of my username. Do you think that will cause issues?
If people know to search you by name and you have a consistent logo across all platforms (so that when names pop up they can see your icon) then I don't think it should be a problem.
@@CreativeHiveCo Thank you! I really hope so! I'm excited about it all but nervous about it actually taking off and being successful so that I can continue to be home with my son for school without putting extra burden on my fiance. I've always worked. But I have always dreamed of my own business and now under the circumstances it may actually make sense to do so. So I'm trying and watching all of your videos to learn! Even my oldest son is opening a business of his own. He is turning 21 Monday and is so intelligent and already has a great niche and plan so I think he will do great! Thanks again!
