Just wanna say, thank you! I couldn't find any other video that showed exactly how they pulled the wire through the firewall or to the trunk. I'll be watching your other videos too!
@@centrick3005 I have EVERYTHING installed now. Your video was the only one that showed how to get through that firewall. It was tricky, but I got it thanks to you. Thank you!
ok, I watched the video again, yeah that is up against bare metal and that is definitely copper clad aluminium wire, change that to stinger ofc. that is a fireball waiting to happen. you need to wire loom it in the engine area too. the heat is going to break down the insulation over time. I did not catch that part in the video when I first watched it. you can get 15 feet of the stinger ofc, 15 feet is what you will need and it will cost you $35 on Amazon and get yourself an anl fuse holder. keep your wire runs as short as possible too. the fuse holder is about $20 and the fuse is $5 at your local car audio store. ofc wire all around is the safer way to go and better performance.
Check NEW VIDEO**** DO NOT FOLLOW MY INSTRUCTIONS on the part where I left the cable outside of the boot under the steering column *** It MUST BE inside that rubber boot for safety !!!! YOU MUST CUT INTO IT and place the power cable inside THE PART IS 4:16
what kind of wiring is that? Get the stinger wire 4 gauge you will notice a night and day difference in sound quality. the next time you run your power wire it will be easy, I would just tape the new one to the old one and pull it through the grommet. I would definitely get the stinger wires for your RCA, speaker wire and power wire and ground. you will get much more cleaner sound and the full power from your amp. I did that and it was a big difference. the stinger true ofc is the best and it doesn't cost much on Amazon. do the power wire and your rca's first and you will notice the difference. you will have to lower the gain and your power will be clean. the ofc wire from stinger makes a huge difference. Good video.
Is that a Kicker CompR in the back? if it is, how do you like it? Thinking about getting that or the Compc10" since i dont want it to take up too much space
Thats what the fuse is for. The fuse went out already in the past and I just replaced the fuse. It blew out because I short something out while adjusting my amp
He’s right change that right right now I promise he’s right your in serious danger you need to cut and go through the boot please right now take that out your life is in danger the fuse is a precautionary measure that doesn’t mean your safe I will pay you to Change it now please trust me I’ve been doing this for 30 years to much to type here please fix also loom it also please don’t take offense to this it’s for your safety
@@centrick3005 so the part where you show the wire under the boot where the wire is resting under the boot that's the very dangerous part it sucks but i suggest you cut a tiny slice in the boot and run the wire through the boot especially because the power wire is not protected with loom or pet "tech flex" material. This is very important not because its against bare metal but also the heat factor making it sifter and even easier to cut open. Also if that is not true ofc and its cca its going to run hotter in the cable which is even more dangerous. I want to say I am not trying to be rude and disrespectful at all I don't want you to think i'm being a you tube clown I am honestly just concerned its hard to understand but i've seen cars on fire from poor installs and you could not only get hurt but insurance and car company will not be your friend if this did happen they will make you pay for a new car. So basically just get the wire through the boot and if you can run to harbor freight and get some loom real real cheap one bag will be enough. Again no disrespect not trolling I just want to make sure you're safe my apologies :/
@@lazerlinec1770 ahhh gotcha. So just to verify you're saying I should cut through the black boot under the steering column and run the wire through. It could potentionally get cut by the bare metal on the outside and short my car out ? If so I completely understand now... Didnt think it could happen. Thanks for the warning man ! Never would have known.
