I know this video is different than your normal work on the 69, but I have to say I like the voice-over. The commentary of what you're doing as you do it is good. And the technical term is "Pusher -Inner - Thing. It must have the word "Thing" on the end to make it Technically technical.

I have to say I’m so glad that I happen across your channel I’m not a big P-car guy but I am a fan of diy car guys and the fact you are doing this type of work in your garage is amazing Mechanical and electrical is my specialty and stay away from body and paint (you can say I can not draw a straight line with a ruler) and my projects do suffer from that Watch this and the blasphemy videos has been making think of doing a new project geared more to body and paint - I going to take Brady steps and hope to find something that only need small metal and rust repair to build up my skills ( definitely not a high end car ) maybe a cheap Toyota pick up lol everyone know that will have the work to bring your skill level up Anyway thanks for videos

Great video! I liked the additional voiceover as it lent itself to the edit you did (saw your reply comment to Home Built by Jeff). You showed each of the steps but the video was short and to the point. If you stopped mid flow of the work and explained each step the video would have been longer and harder for you to edit. The voiceover allows you to be complete and succinct - guessing you re-recorded the VO until you nailed it. Nice work on the video and amazing work on the flares.

Like the video, good work and result , but it has a couple of no go's for me: - leave a 911 always as original as possible, this car lost 20000 USD in value - don't use a grinder or welding machine without completely covering the rest of the car , especially glass! - don't use bondo, use zinc this is factory original - paint the bottom of the car and don't use gravel guard , the car will rust from inside to outside

Looks like Fitzee’s old Cut and Butt technique. (Fitzees Fabrications on YT) He is way up north in Newfoundland. A real old time craftsman using simple and homemade tools. Check him out and get a Cut and But T-Shirt. But sure went on nice, much better than on the the last fenders you showed us. And yes I know those had to be modified to fit. One thing about doing new things, you don’t know how stupid you were when you started until you finish. And now you are the Go To Guy, just because you tried it and stuck it out. But we have known you are that kind of guy all along. I tried welding flares on my C6, but the fenders melted. I now know how stupid I was in the beginning.
@rennch.
@rennch. 2 года назад
Big Fitzee fan for sure! I was doing this technique a few years before him, but it’s tried and true. The flares I put on Blasphemy were 20ga steel and were REALLY hard to work with.

@bernardmauge8613

I wanna see some gloss black on the flare job and get a good laugh. If you do the welding you do the finishing that is your responsibility. For all of you watching this crime take notice. He started good with the cutting. His fit up is perfect. The welding should be done with silicon bronze wire and an adhesive ceramic back up to prevent burn through, Little gap is ok. You are not welding the panel you are BRAZING IT. No distortion. Never grind on the parent metal SAND the bronze like a filler.Do not use filler use lead for the finishing touch. last thing If this car is a 911 s by adding the flares it lost half of its value. The G cars are around $50.000 now, the earlier pre SC models are twice that much depending on condition.
