Great Video! Been using DECKED since they cam our on all my vehicles. Top notch, never had an issue. Highly recoomend

Highly NOT recommended! No customer support. Cargoglide sent me the wrong unit for my vehicle, not what I ordered (with hardware missing), and tried to charge me $350 freight to return it for THIER mistake. Definitely not a good company to deal with. Buyer beware.

Tim, how much weight is added to the truck after installation? Also, what is the install height of the installation? My concerns are mostly noise and functionality relative to the reduced bed depth. Thanks for the video.

320 pounds. It is about an inch higher when it goes over the tailgate and is about 6 inches higher in the bed.

My I suggest adding some heavy items, close to the end and see how easy or hard it is to operate. Also in a decline and see how that would work. Thank you for the informative video’s.

I like the idea of these, but I like running a tonneau and this just seems to eat up too much vertical space for me to really consider. Would be great with open bed or camper shell though.

I don't understand how Decked doesn't make a system for Jeep Wranglers or a rear seat delete kit. They would start more competitive pricing with other seat delete companies.

I am considering something like this for RV travelling with my 2016 Tundra I just bought. I wanted your truck, but at over twice the price and as I just retired Friday, doesn't make sense. I would like to see you combine this with a secure tonneau cover.

We use them for upland hunting. Makes getting into 3 or more kennels easier. Like most things, it's not universally better, and your use case may vary.

I have the decked boxes in my new at4 and am very pleased with them. The two piece tailgate makes accessing the bed with the added height much easier

too bad you didn’t have the old body style chevy/gmc so could have had the tailgate interference fit issue I had. Makes the product not worth 2K for all the hassle to have add the tall spacers on bottom

I'll have to get back to you on that. I installed the hood protector and it has to sit for 24 hours to let the adhesive stick.

The problem with these are they waste so much space! There's 4 or 5 inches of vertical space just wasted.

Have been looking at it for a while. I have a bed cover, also my truck is lifted 6.5”. I just don’t like the idea that it sits too high.

I'm a tonneau cover guy so these have never been something I considered. If you run an open bed, or particularly if you have a canopy, I can see the attraction.

I'm thinking of getting one. I haul a lot of IT equipment. This would save a lot of time. They also have ramps with rollers on them that attach to the cargoslide which is very interesting for loading heavier equipment.

Wonder how Toyotas composite beds would hold up with one of these. The shear stress on the mounting holes might cause some damage.

Looking on their site, sounds like they arent compatible with any composite beds like Toyota or even the GMC Carbon bed. "Not compatible with the Chevrolet/GMC CarbonPro bed. Not compatible with any composite beds such as the 2022 Tundra or Tacoma trucks. Note: It is compatible with composite bed trucks if installed with a DECKED Drawer System."

So you said you needed to drill through the metal in the box? 😬 Nice product Tim but I would be leery of doing that part. I think if you had a cap it would be even more useful, cap it's quite a chore to climb in there.

There is obviously usable volume lost with this system so it lends itself to a dedicated type of use. I have an idea that diminishes the lost height but won't do anything about the area in front of the wheel well. With that type of grooved bedliner construct an enclosure as desired and attach inline skate wheels inside on the sides just through the floor to travel in a groove with a rope allowing it to come out as desired. If support is desired in the center attach roller ball glides also in a groove of the bedliner. The rope will not allow it to fall out of the truck.

Anybody know if you can load a snowmobile on the decked cargo slide? Can you stop the cargo slide at the end of the tail gate? If not can it handle being all the way out and the ramps rest on the edge so you can drive it onto it?

That’s a solid question. I’ll let others weigh in, but I can tell you the cargo slider is rated for over a thousand pounds which should be enough for a snowmobile. Yes, the cargo glide can stop at the end of the tailgate.

Yeah I knew the slide itself could handle weight of snowmobile but I mean loading it, if I can stop the slide at the tail gates edge and rest the ramp on it then it should work, just didn’t know if it could handle that

For me personally, I would not want that, it would just be a big thing in the way. What is on the working surface of it? A rubber mat? Or a spray on bedliner type of surface. And just to clarify, I never said "why do you modify your truck, you only have it for a year". I said I like these types of videos where you show yourself installing stuff, but, I can understand you might not want to do a lot of mods, because you only have trucks for a year.
