Hi dan, it doesn’t show anything on mine mines a iPad mini but idk what model of it is and when’s I go to settings it only shows up with automatic update and also 12.5.5 Can you help me please
Old iPads can’t update anymore. If you see that it is up to date most likely yours has reached the point where Apple doesn’t support updates for it anymore.
I’m scared please answer me bc this is not my iPad it’s my grandmas iPad she lets me use it a lot but I want the update but I’m scared bc it says email and if something like something will happen it will have to return back to the store and I’m scared to do it pleaase respond!
If you are u sure don’t do it. I can’t advise you as it should be backed up and if anything should happen during the update (most likely won’t) you would need to restore from backup.
I just bought an iPad here recently for digital drawing and when I went to go download the drawing apps it said I needed to update to iOS 14.4 or later, looking at what I have it's only a iOS 10.3.3, and says that my software is up to date no matter how many times I try to update it. Do you know how to help me or how to update it to the version I need?
Did you buy an old iPad? Usually when they don’t update it’s because they are old and Apple stops supporting old iPads. You might have to buy a newer model that can update to the latest iOS versions.
Not sure what you mean? Everything should remain on the phone when you update the backup is recommended in case something goes wrong. If you back it up on iCloud or on a computer it’s up to you.
I have iPad mini 2.....will i not be able to update in that?....when I go to software update it shows software 12.05 update...that's it...no other option
The don't really play around with betas but you could Google how to check and then how to remove the beta safely. It's usually not that hard but I don't want to give you the wrong advice.
Exuse me please helppp! It doesn’t say download and install for me my iPad is plugged into my charge I don’t have a lot of charge aswell and I literally only have only 64 photos please explain to me!
@@DHTV I want to know the system storage it is taking up after installation. Is it advisable to install it on low space ipad like of 32GB, or it will take up a good amount of space as compared to ipados13 ?
Got really excited when I saw this, but deflated when I tried to do it. Went to Settings, General, Software Update like you said, but mine said “ IOS 12.5.7 Your software is up to date.” So it would seem I can’t update from IOS 12 to IOS 14. Frustrating because often when I try to download an app it says I need IOS 14.
Unfortunately older iPads are not supported for newer updates. You need to check on which iPad you have and see if it is supported. However based on what you saw when you tried to update, I am fairly confident your iPad isn’t supported.
Thank you Dan although I don’t have one but always a pleasure to hear your tutorials, having said that , I’ll share amongst friends and who owns one 👍🏻🥰
As far as I know it should be fine but I am not 100% sure. If it's prompting you to update I would think Apple wouldn't provide an update that wouldn't work. Backup everything to be safe but it's hard to find a definitive answer online.
If you have an iPad that doesn't support iOS 14 there isn't much you can do. Check the link in the description to see if yours can update. If it can this tutorial will show you how. If not you are stuck as Apple doesn't support it anymore.
Older iPads are not supported for iOS 14. You can see which iPads support iOS 14 here twitter.com/DanDePenta/status/1306270330638532615 If you check and yours is supported, you might have installed a beta software one day and the profile would need to be removed. If you don't know how, I just posted a video on how to remove beta software on your iPad. Check my channel for that video.
😆 really lol. 1. You missed the part of the video that I say check if your iPad is compatible. Older iPads don’t support this. 2. You may have installed a beta at one point and you need to remove that profile. 3. It could be a simple error. Restart the iPad make sure you have enough space and plug to a charger.
Unfortunately there are many factors that could be causing it not to update. You might have instead a beta in the past and need to remove the beta profile first, you might not have enough space on your iPad, your internet connection may be the issue, you might have to plug it to the charger when updating, you may need to log out and log back into iCloud. Lastly you might have an older iPad mini that doesn't support iOS 14 as they all look similar.
Dude when your iPad was saying hola I was like "Wait I have to put all the info in?!" 🤣😂 Also for me it was saying "IPad IOS 14.2" what does that mean?
You can still use website versions of the apps like RU-vid, Twitter etc in Safari but if you want app support then yeah unfortunately as time passes more and more apps will stop working.
