In today's iPad Tutorial, you will learn how to install iPadOS 17 on the iPad or iPad Pro. I have a ipad 8th generation i try to install 17.4.1 it’s already downloaded when i click on install then screen shown verifying update for next 5 to 10 minutes then it shown an error occurred then it shown a 2 option retry or remind me later… can you please help me because i already try signout icloud then login but it’s all same

Hey please help out. Please help. Mine says up to date 16.7.2, I don’t have the option to download and install iOS 17. I have the IPad Pro 11” original. It shows it should be available. I think, perhaps, my grandson may have clicked something to cancel a download at one time.

If the iPad is really old and the iPadOS or iOS version is maxed out then yeah, usually means time for a new iPad or live with the limitations.

Hi it says an error has occurred I’ve seen a few comments saying I should shut my iPad or it might be the WiFi but I did both I shut down my iPad and even tho it didn’t work I decided to shut down my WiFi a few times to see if it will work . Bro I have a problem please answer. So look I have all preparations made except for the storage, now my storage is at 26.1 GB out of 32 GB and the update requires 3.6 GB which means I will still be at around 29.7 GB so why does it say that it requires more storage? To be honest this happens sometimes. Try restarting the iPad, log out of iCloud log back in and if that fails then you just have to free more space. Not sure what the issue is but that’s what I would do.

No it leaves everything but it is best to backup just in case something goes wrong you could lose everything. These updates are fairly safe from my experience but it’s better to be safe and backup then be sorry.

Try plugging up to a charger. If you don't have enough battery it won't install.

You need wifi to update it unfortunately unless you use a computer which in turn would also need internet to download it.

Only thing I can suggest is to restart the iPhone and try, sign out of iCloud and sign back in then try again. Or it could be your internet is having issues. Maybe it cuts out during the download.

Older iPads don’t support iOS 17. Check to see if your iPad supports it.

If the battery percentage is too low, you won't be able to update the iPad. If you start the update/installation of iOS 17 or later with the charger and then unplug it, you run the chance of the battery dying during the installation. If this happens, you could lose all your data or even brick the iPhone, making it unusable. So, follow the Apple guidelines and recommendations, and keep it charged if you don't have sufficient battery power until the installation is complete.

What does it say? If you don't see an update option at all then maybe your iPad is too old and not supported? If it is greyed out, you might need more space or to plug up to a charger. I need more info to better help.

If you have an older iPad, Apple doesn’t support updates for them anymore. You have to look up your iPad and see if that’s the reason.

Doesn’t have to be charging the whole time. It just needs 20-50% battery. I’m not sure why it’s failing. Maybe try to free up more space if it’s close to full? Without seeing it and watching when the error happens as well as other things, it’s very hard to figure out.

You have a really old iPad probably. Older iPads or iPhones can’t update to new versions of iOS anymore so you would be stuck at that version of iOS.

Could be a few things. If you have an older iPad like a 5th generation it does not support iOS 17. Could also be a glitch where restarting the iPad could work or you dont have enough space on the iPad for the update? Lastly, if you have inconsistent internet or slow internet, it may not be able to update.

Then something is up, usually with the network. If it is still updating then restart the iPad and start again.

That seems like you turned on an accessibility setting or something. Try turning off the iPad and turning it back on. Also check your accessibility settings and make sure you havent enabled a color opion. As for reverting back, I don't think you can anymore.
