From a 48 year old that wanted to upcyxle/repurpose his old Asus laptop. Thank you for all your helpful videos. Your videos are made very well. Your voice is easy to listen to, and you don't ramble on about the 20 other things one command can do when it ain't related to what your teaching. You just say, "that's for another video" haha. Hey man there’s no video/article related to fstab/adding additional drives to server as you mentioned in video. Am preparing a Jellyfin server booting from usb pendrive with no way to add external HDD. Can you guide me somewhere please

hi there can you make video about converting old windows laptop or pc into thin client, in my case i have 4 old pc like 512 ddr1 ram and celeron cpu and one new xeon based server pc so i wander if i can somehow run windows from server to old pcs using linux (such as rdp or something else)

So when I boot to the flash drive I just see the words “GRUB” in the corner. I haven’t been able to get past that after 10 hours of waiting. This is on a flash drive that I used baleraEtcher on another windows machine to install on an older windows machine

after removing media and hiting enter the computer boots saying checking media and doesn´t find ubuntu server. Anyone help? i have reinstalled it 3 times already changing various settings and still nothing

if you didn't remove your desktop system accidentally, it should let you choose ubuntu server or desktop during next startup

everytime i try this all i get is a blinking underscore at the top left of the screen and it does nothing

I got that when I was trying to dual boot with Knoppix, but I just wiped everything and reinstalled and it worked. You can try to edit your grub bootloader but I just reinstalled it. Hope that that helps.

Wait longer. Im trying to install onto an old system with USB 2 (may even be USB 1, yikes). Eventually, the installer does load after 3-5 minutes. Just need to wait.

it can be very slow, I installed Ubuntu to my Ryzen system and it still took 60 to 90 seconds for it to get past that on the 1st few boots

Your jellyfin video led me to here. Then you try direct me to an article to flash ubuntu, but no article. Now you say there's a pinned article about additional drives, but nothing. Cmon, get your stuff sorted.
