Last of the original four builds I decided to make videos on!
Build 21277 is basically a Windows 11 alpha, but without any Sun Valley changes. Oh and this video was mainly a 4K test, any feedback would be helpful.

I used 21301's legacy edge on my computer that previously runs Windows 21H2 22000.2538 but it fully works even with Test Mode and NoIntegrityChecks on

i much prefer 4k video. i don't actually have a 4k screen or hardware capable of playing 4k videos, but just the fact that the video is in 16:9 makes it better for me

Try Windows 11 Build 21380.1001. Nice video btw! I think this has a different maximize effect too!

yes all cobalt builds 21277+(as of right now) have 11 animations but they are much slower.

Hi LagLife, first of all I really like your content, I only know you recently but I also got to know The Windows Hero and windows by joe thanks to you, I also really like their content. However I would like the Edge Legacy video on the new versions of Windows 10/11. Anyway, how can I get the vmware tools extracted? I would need them for many things. If you could pass them to me or explain how to obtain them I would be happy, thanks.

Copy the VMware tools installer from the ISO (either setup.exe or setup64.exe), run it with /a to do a "network install" which will just let you extract it wherever, and now you can just go into \VMware Tools\VMware\Drivers , and there the drivers are

BRING BACK LEGACY EDGE! Will it work on modern Windows 10 and 11? You should also try to get Internet Explorer on Windows 11.

The anwser is yes and yes. Heck, you can still open IE. Internet Options --> Programs --> Manage Add-ons --> Learn more about.... And then you have IE

what do you mean? you can set the taskbar icons to the left on windows 11 since the first release

@just_joey, this was possible to put taskbar on top in 21h2. cybercputech covered it in one of his registry tricks for 11 video in late 2021- mid 2022. but that did break on left or right and the feature stopped working on 22h2 altogether i think.

For sure he should do that. I managed to compile the last build of Edge Legacy to an appx file but it doesn't install because it needs to authorize some capabilities idk.

@@itztechpulse2 Figured out how to override this, got legacy edge registered but it just crashes since it has been completely gone from Windows since December 2023. EdgeHTML is still there I think but the edge browser is gone, it might be possible to make a lookalike/recreation but the actual Edge browser was totally removed in 19045.3803
