Why aren’t these available in ordering parts? No outside housing is offered through air head.

Any reason why the solar vents aren't recommended? Too unreliable? Not consistent/adequate airflow? That said, the UFO vent is much less obtrusive in the high-traffic area of the deck where it would be placed, so I think I prefer that anyway

Hello Vanellope's Pitstop! Nice to hear that the AirHead Toilet gives you no problems even without the fan. The reason the AirHead comes with a fan to install is for the aerobic dry composting process to make the content not only odorless but also partly dried and composted which makes the capacity of the solids tank very effective. Another plus with the fan installed is that this can improve the air quality in your space in general.

@@vanellopespitstop3093 This was a very interesting statement to come across. I have yet to drill a hole into my van to allow off gassing because I hate putting holes in the chassis. It makes things so permanent. With that being the case, I have not used the toilet but might see if I get similar results. I bought it for #1 and for emergency #2 but otherwise my goal is to NOT use it. Maybe I'll give this a shot. You using coconut or peat moss?

I'm loath to put holes through sheet metal myself, as it seems to always eventually lead to leaks and rust. My van has two small awning-style windows in the fiberglass top above the future Air Head location. My plan is to replace one of those glass windows with polycarbonate panel and install a small double NACA duct (positioned with the duct openings towards the front of the van so it's more of an extractor than an intake). One duct will serve the Air Head, the other will be the sink drain/grey water vent.
