I appreciate these build series because for someone being new to motorcycles, a very descriptive breakdown is extremely informational! Big shoutout to Kyle! This new Akro exhaust + carbon wheels make this bike look waaaaay better! ANother great video, Ib!!
awesome, I backed out of mine I could not bring myself to trade in my full exhaust pikes peak w tail tidy heated grips aux lights n luggage just didnt make sense for me but sick bike cant wait to see you rip on it
That's coming out beautifully! So glad you went with the Evotech fender eliminator too - it's one of my fave editions to my Multistrada. Evotech makes a lot of nice stuff for these bikes, like axle sliders and engine guard protection (I take mine off road sometimes). Can't wait to see how this turns out.
ib, I've follow your channel since the beginning. You've accomplished so much, and have come a long way. I remember when it was about smackdowns, and you are now a well recognized, and respected, motorcycle personality. Said that, it is though to watch the way money is spent is your awesome collection. In the mean time, I day dream on owning an RSV4 someday, maybe 🥲. Again, wishing all the good stuff for you and your family! Love the content!
Looks good! Picked up mine two days ago. Was on the fence about the evotech tail tidy, but definitely going to get it now., was worried about the radar. Would love to get the exhaust, but I am in CA, so I will need to find somewhere not too far away out of state as there are no dealers in CA that will install it. Super stoked to see what you do with the bike and the ideas it gives me. Thanks for your work.
4:27 - It is slightly lighter…😅 But the old exhaust has the whole pipe attached to it so obviously there are no weight savings in the exhaust - only the cat. *The build is awesome!👍
Your guy is hilarious. He obviously has no clue of what you were asking. His response should have been. Oh yeah, Absolutely 50 state compliant! Wink Wink
You look so much more comfortable on that bike then your others. You being a taller bigger rider that bike suits you and your riding style better then just speed. Bow up have some comfort like your bmw 1200 gs but better
It’s an R 1250 GSA - I went luxury over performance so picked up a 2022 R 1250 GS 40th Anniversary. Spent enough years going fast on ZX10R. That Ducat is outstanding!
Because these carbon wheels are somehow worth more than the Carbon wheels that BMW puts on their bikes... These companies sure know how to scam their buyers.
@@Tkplay16 I am talking about the aftermarket wheels he is putting on, how can they cost 100% more than the carbon wheels that BMW puts on their bikes??? Are they filled with gold or something???
@@Tkplay16 Nope that is not the nature, that is idocracy that some Ducati owners accept. $10,000 wheels is hysterical when the bike costs $40k, they're basically saying they put a quarter of the amount of R&D in their wheels that Ducati put into that entire bike with the electronics and all. Absolute joke. Hope that company goes out of business.
Hey 650ib - I have a question for you if you don't mind - I just installed the Akra Race Exhaust on my Multi RS just like you did. Just got the bike back from the dealer and there is a big dent in the top side of the pipes where they make the bend upward around the side of the swing arm - between the muffler and the resonator. The back pipe has a particularly big dent where the upward bend it and the forward a much smaller dent. As far as I can tell the Akra exhaust is the same for all Multi V4 models and my Akra Exhaust on my 2021 Multi V4S does not have any dents. I'm looking at your video and I maybe see a bit of a dent in that location? So maybe it's just how they make them now? Do you have a significant dent there (Like someone crushed it with a half inch tube and the bend) ?
Hey Bro! Yessir! My exhaust has the same dents and Kyle said it's normal. It freaked me out at 1st but he explained it to me. We will cover this again this week in my 1st service video and I will show the bends on camera. Congrats on your RS 😍😍😍😍🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
@650ib Thanks so much that makes me feel better. I freaked out when I noticed it. Perhaps they had to add that dent so it fits the double swing arm Rally model that might have more suspension drop? The Rally didn't exist in 2021 when I got the race exhaust for my V4S so that could explain the lack of "clearance" dents on that bike. Still bugs me though! Maybe I'll transfer the smooth Akra pipes from my "old" Multi V4 to the RS....
I'm in San Diego. You and other RS Owners (heck any fun loving motorcycle owner) should come to the "San Pedro Martir HillClimb" that is held every October in Baja, CA about 200 miles south of the border. It's a fully paved 18 mile mountain road with hundreds of turns and a 6500+ft elevation gain. And they allow motorcycles unlike Pikes Peak. I've done it the past three years and it's a blast. Here is a link to a review of it: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-gQuj_AAdC48.htmlsi=bLBR5AZhf8N3998T And here is my Multi V4S footage from last year: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-qnPwddRpUag.htmlsi=vHxn52f4Szm2hYXo @@650ib
Still don’t know why Ducati has such a big, clunky, looking rear tail light set-up that they have still yet to update and make more minimal, sleeker, and weight saving.
@@650ib I would double check, when I installed mine it didn’t feel anything like my last ti system (spark). I check the listing on Ducati and it said titanium lined…
had the v4 RS for about a month did 400 miles and hated it , should never have sold my v4SP , what is obsession with saving weight ??? plus 10-15 horsepower not going to change your life 😂.
@@650ib the handling for start , smaller front wheel makes it drop into corners handlebars are wide so in a long sweeping corner the bike reacts to any small movements eg on v4 sp it corners amazing this doesn't , feels heavy higher up , one time was turning it round like 1 mph and leaned it like 20% and down it went , very heavy to lift up , but for going on long runs why do you need 190ps makes no sense , I prefer just to go out for a blast on my bike .a dutch guy did a review on this and the normal multi and first think he said was how much better it felt , should have listened to him lol , anyway think iam just into sports bikes
