Installed a 7.5in TA performance rear differential cover on my 99 ws6 Trans Am. TA Performance TA-1809 Rear End Girdle Cover GM 10B 7.5 www.amazon.com...
5 years ago... Sooo ahhh... when did the 10 bolt destroy itself?😂😂 or did it ever? Ive contemplated getting one for years and a mwc 9" is so expensive i gotta try to stretch this thing out as kong as i can😅
Nice cover! It will Definitely will be a lot better than the stock one. But the best 10 bolt rear end cover is the LPW 7.5 Ultimate with the brace kit! Frame connectors will also help the vehicle out a lot
LSX- Hicks it does but it’s not the cover with the brace kit has extra mounting points for the arms and joints that have to be welded on to the diff. But you stock got one that’s better then the stock cover for sure.
nice! ...now u got me wanting to do mine... & btw i highly reccomend checkin out founders performance (i discovered em thru ls1tech forum) & pick u up a new "on-car-adjustable" panhard bar... i cant speak for ur car, but on my 98 the rear axel felt like it was tryin to swap sides every time i got on it.. it was probably one of the best upgrades i did & theyre stuff is usa made by american craftsman & top notch quality ...& no, im not affiliated with em, im just braggin on the fact that their quality, their powder coating, & their welding, for the price, or for any price, is awesome... enjoying the vids guys, thanx
heavychevy383 the rear diff cover made a big difference. I noticed increased traction. I also have a bmr adjustable panhard bar and bmr lower control arms in the garage. I also have umi coilovers and subframe connectors. Hoping to get them installed in the weekends to come.
@@AllTimePerformance Don't need instructions but would have been great to see how you set up the girdle. Your video didn't show anything. I go to YT to look over things I am about tackle, and I try to tackle everything on my own.
V- Hicks He left out a very important step, the exact torque on the bolts that go against the main caps. Mine is not a different make (I’m fairly certain the specs are pretty much the same) but the instructions are very specific in three difference places that is 14 inch pounds. The instructions also state a digital torque wrench, to a clicker or a bar type. This is not a normal differential cover so he should have included a few specifics.
