Here we return to the neighbor of my parents where we grappled up a fallen tree earlier in the season to put in Genest Diamond Pro retaining walls with inset granite steps on either side of her driveway. These walls were complicated in nature due to the block type, block variances, grade, steps, trees and many other factors! Luckily, it all worked out and we were all happy with the resulting walls and steps. A major improvement over the previous wall.
Equipment Used:
Skid Steer/CTL: 2021 Bobcat T66

Dump Trailer: Big Tex LP14
Block Picker: Pave Tool Quick-E-BL 980
Saw: Evolution DISCCUT1 12"
Grade Tool: ZipLevel Pro 2000

Thanks for teaching me how to play POE a few years ago. I know you have little to do with the community nowadays but We definitely remember you. good luck in life's new adventure.

No problem, I still follow the game closely and hope to play it more whenever PoE 2 launches. Thanks!

Wow amazing transformation. Please tell your Dad to wear a hard hat when working under the boom of the excavator. I'm 62 and have a huge scar on the back of my head from exactly this circumstance. Hydraulics leakdown when least expected.

I just found out you quit PoE to do something constructive. I am extremely happy for you man. That game is a soul sucking drain, and to see you escape it to do something actually productive and meaningful, with your family, makes my heart swell. Keep at it man. Keep going strong.
@CarlsonSonLandscapingLLC
@CarlsonSonLandscapingLLC 2 года назад
Thanks man! I deifnitely still appreciate PoE and follow it closely. I just burned myself on it really hard pouring 60+ hour weeks into it making content and playing it over 4 years. That being said, this hobby/gig definitely feels more gratifying!

@@CarlsonSonLandscapingLLC that game is an addictive, soul draining, absolutely worthless, addict creating, nothing. Put it behind you. Keep it there. Keep going forward man, you will do great and TANGIBLE things, for actual people, while also growing your own worth. You will make your family proud, and they will boast of your accomplishments rather than having to cringe about how much time you spend playing video games. You are on the right path, do not go back.

"The Granite State" ... it's only appropriate for the stone's use in landscaping applications. Quite the transformation, really really nicely done - Dad knows his way around a wall & taught you well!👍 It was great that you grabbed footage of *_all_* the work, made the video very interesting to watch.

Haha yes, definitely a lot of granite available around here. It also made it a lot easier, since we wouldn't have to mess with stepper blocks to make the stairs. Thanks, I do my best to make sure I get a full picture of the work from start to end.

You don’t shy away from big projects! It’s looks great! Is this your full time job now or are you still working as a software engineer? I’d love to make to make a career change into something like what you’re doing. Again, it looks great!

Excuse me for my ignorance. Don't the stairs need to be fixed somehow? Could the material under it erode away due to rain?
@CarlsonSonLandscapingLLC
@CarlsonSonLandscapingLLC 2 года назад
The angular stone under the stairs will remain in place due to compaction, weight of the stairs and its own friction.
