For the Baja you can actually buy a Rock guard that’s yellow or clear and snap it on the light just like this one so you don’t have to replace the entire lens although that is an option.
I have that setup only on my Road Glide. I like how it looks, but have found that one of the relays will stay latched momentarily if I put the high beam on and then turn it off. Also if you don't install the little reed switch in the back of the light; it'll be insanely bright.
this one does the same, there is a slight delay in the light switch from highbeam. doesn’t bother me. my led lights in the garage have a delay as well. so I just assume it’s the way LEDs are sometimes.
This is internal programming on the board in the light itself and not the actual relays. we've provided this feedback some time ago to rigid and its on their roadmap.
The lp6 is definitely brighter, but it’s almost an annoying kind of bright. When I had my Softail with the lp6, it’s hard to ride in groups and whatnot cause you’re constantly blinding everyone around you. The Rigid is just all around a great setup. Looks great, more than enough light, and it’s unique. Compared to a stock, it’s def a huge improvement, but if you’re looking for maximum light, the Baja is the brightest
the Baja just throws light out. the rigid is better at focusing the light where you need it. they are both bright, but I’m preferring the direction of light from the rigid.
The new harness still plugs into the stock plug so that your high/low beam function can work properly. It’s all just nicely tucked with in the fairing bracket.
For the ST, you can’t beat the look of the Rigid. The trim piece they KleenMoto offers looks fantastic and the curve of the light really compliments the fairing in my opinion
